It means the communication between you (your browser) and the server (in this scenario, the game's server) is encrypted. That means that it is secure in the sense that someone else cannot observe said communication (what actions you perform, what private messages you read), including impersonating you or the server in regard to the other, or simply stealing your credentials which are currently sent in (almost) plaintext and visible to someone observing the traffic of, let's say, some wifi that you connected to. |
