Author | Dark Elf level 10 pathways |
At level 10 after many suggestions I've tried the following :
1)Full Defense + Rally and offense:
Mainly tried this in PvP
Logic is that Dark Elf troops donot strike first (meaning the main troops of other shooter factions eg.Elf, Knight , Barbarian, Demon, Tribal, Dwarf,etc) and main troops (Shrews) get killed within 2 turns. This works well but in case of battle against wizard , this turns into a disaster
2)Splitting into attack and defense equally+ Rally and offense.
Does not work as a solution as troops(shrews) donot last for for more than 1.5 turns incase of shooter factions
3)Darkness Magic:
I donot know how to play like this but have tried in PvP and had similar results like in 1)
and lastly, Chaos Magic is the best way to win in any PvP but limits the effect of creature's abilities (Strike and return lizard charge,etc)

Except in classic darkelf minotaurs are completely neglected. 58 shrews can be recruited with rally at level 10 that means diverting main troops to poisoners ,etc:)) nice idea. |

You want the truth?: Poisoners are underrated, Shrews overrated :P
You may also play Chaos DE with DoF.
My personal thought: If I were to play DE again, I'd only play the TDE Class.
Maybe Chaos DE rarely, but TDE very often, even for TG.
PS: Shrews will only win you 1v1 games against Tribes, nothing more, IMHO.

I dont want to start Faction vs Faction here :\
I'm concerned that in CG battle we dont choose opponents like in normal duels,
Other factions have one setting(Parameter, Talents, etc) in case of any PvP,
So which setting would be best which gives equal chance of winning to both teams??

Generally 2 types of normal DE builds are successful and playable -
1) Defensive build, with max poisoners - rest shrews and max lizards, remaining are minos.
2) Max shrews build, with hybrid setup. You can use something like for example - 25 attack, rest all defense.
However this builds are more effective from lvl 11 when you get dark witches for chastise, which can make you gain some attack stats even with defense build.
However anyways, above mentioned build works better than full might DE build in most cases.
For tamer DE, always defensive build. |

When you go Full atk DE, computer will choose Elf against you, when you go Full Def, you'll get Chaos enemies :p

If you are only weak to one build then you have found a strong build to start with. Later on you can tweak it to be better against wizards with slightly different recruit count, talent or strategy once you have a good understanding of your strenght and weakness. |

Im lvl 11 not 10 but ive been trying poisoner tactic in CG and for me it works really good
i only sacrifice 20 shrews for 57 poisoners which usually can be very important in 2v2 etc especially vs high defence
heres 2 wins from 2v2 so far, i lost 1v1 vs knight but that was because i messed up honestly:

This was the build I used for MT.
I feel only elves got chance to defeat DE's at lvl 11.
Shadow barbs can be hard too, but very easy too if played properly.

This is the battle where BloodyAssault defeated one DE which had same stats as mine.
I believe other than elves, DEs shouldn't have any problem at lvl 11. ;) |
I dont have assailants so for me going max rouges doesnt work as well as poisoners but that makes me weak to knights, elves are pretty easy tho |
If both players are good, DE stands no chance against classic elf. Charmers are easy. |
So far I have seen good results in PvP against Elves & Barbarians but does this method work effectively against Holy Knight? |
