Notice I am talking about rebalance within a faction, not aiming at strengthening/weakening a specific faction.

Currently the Classic Elf talent features:
Fortune 7
Offense 10
Defense 9
Leadership 10
Light magic 7
Nature magic 9
Erudition 10

The multiple existence of 10 made it very awkward to adjust talents upon even levels, where there is always a remainder of 5 in talent points.

My suggestion is, as Classic Elf mainly follows suit of the HOMM5 elves specifications, rebalance the "Leadership" or "Erudition" versus "Offense" talents.
Option 1: Increase "Offense" cost to 11, while reducing "Leadership" cost to 9.
Option 2: Increase "Offense" cost to 12, while reducing "Erudition" cost to 8.

For reference, the HOMM5 elves has the following talent chances upon upgrading:
Offense(Attack) 4%, Leadership 8%, Erudition(Enlightenment) 10%.

This change would not strengthen or weaken this faction, but gives multiple versatile playable choices of using this faction. IMO.
although it will do strenthen elf a lot at high level while weaken elf a lot at low level, I would support this, balance can be rebuilt by adjusting troop counts.

so you would increase the cost of offense talents, which elves dont usually take because they prefer leadership and luck branch. I don't approve erudition 8 either, thats too cheap.

This is a good example how to do it. You suggest something and you explain why it should be done. (Whether others agree with the idea is another story).

I'm not sure what it would change. Most base talents (1st circle) are fillers and only there to unlock the best talents like battlefury, innate swiftness,... so a new level isn't just about 5 more points but unlocking (or not) another "good" talent and then jugling with filer talents to unlock it.
Option 1 can be done, option 2 seems to be somehow unbalanced.
We all know how disaster classic suicial or even shooter elves can be, if they start going expert erudtion along with cheap lucks.

Dont get me wrong, I dont find Swift's idea bad at all, but I mean I dont see why this thread doesnt get closed fast, while others do.

Meaning it'd end up being a "Buff".

I just say now that if I open a thread suggesting something like this, doesnt get closed.

I mean, its like suggesting Knight's Morale to get a Cost of 5 Talent Points, while increasing Holy Talent Costs by 1 in the other hand, its exactly the same.
It'd end up being a Buff, since Knights (Classic ones) pick Morale always, not Holy. They'd end up with more Benefits/Advantages than Drawbacks.

I dont mean to sound offensive (I hope it didnt sound this way!), but I wanna understand the "Criteria" when closing threads in this Sub-Forum due to Local Rule 6 (Strengthen/Weaken Rule thing...).

May I suggest then (For instance), to add Defence Talent Branch to Classic DEs, if I write correctly the reason why it should be done?
It'd be "Imba", just giving an example.

You probably see the difference. SwiftGirl identified a "problem" and tried to find potential solutions. The other topic just says "buff demons". An that's what the local rule 6 is for. It's here to prevent people from posting dumb threads like "my faction is too weak, admins give me more troops plss". Many years ago we had many threads like this. That's why the rule was introduced. But it's not here to prevent people from posting possible solutions to actual problems. Some of the balance changes we had actually came from the russian I&S forum.
the part where you say "actual problem" is subjective. And without a doubt, both options are going to buff elf - second more than first. Elf, both classic and charmer are already too focused on triggers and procs.. consider blinding, critical hit, abundance of luck, knocking shot, etc. making morale cheaper on a faction that has some of the fastest units and high impact is a buff.

But i never had a problem with topics which discussed or petitioned for buffs/nerfs so the thread doesn't bother at all.

That's true of course, but the difference should still be clear.
I would rather change the middle wheel talent. The rain of arrows is useless at all. By the way, I think that the cost for nature magic could be reduced, with the mentioned middle talent (like only 20% loss HP by raising) there would be some other way how to play in GB.
For example I use offense talents as elf for ambushes at TG, in my understanding even offense talents for elf can be useful in some special cases...
Offense is often used for elves i agree for me i use min max damage increase when i go sprites, tactics for charmer elves sometimes, also when using rally at my combat you have 20 points left so it is more dps to get 2 offensive than 2 luck talents
