AuthorMaster of Obstacles + Dominion of Fire, stacking together
Heyo

Thinking about trying "Weird" stuff in CG, with a mate Dwarf, kinda "For fun".
My question is: How would the armor burn/reductiong/break percentages work?

Something like "0.5 x 1.25 = 0.625 = 62.5% reduction"? If yes, I'd thank a comfirmation.
I've been told in class you dont add percentages like "50% + 25% = 75%" apparently, heehheh.

Thanks in advance Btw.
Take this example, if a troop had 40 defence and then had a 50% armour burn it would be left with 20 defence. If you then ignore 25% of this that would leave 15 defence as 20 is the current value at that time

that depends on the kind of calculation you need to do.

If you say "take 25% of 75", for example, then it works as merlin explained.

if on the other hand you say "add an extra 25% to the initial 30%" then it's a simple addition as in your example.

There is no different rule for %, they just follow the classic +-/* rules of priority.

Just remember that, in this game, it's usually the first (take % of the remaining %)to avoid reaching 0's and 100's

Except when its darkness/holy magic*
It was a recent change (? idk how recent lol) but don't holy and darkness magic cancel each other out additively? Like a 40% delay and 30% rapid will result in a 10% decrease in ini.

There are certain exceptions but on the most part it does work like both merlin and guyb stated.
A multiplicative effect, x * 50% * 25% = x * 62.5%
The nearest comparator in this game I think is ignore defence enchantments.

In this where you wear multiple arts that reduce defence the affects are multiplacative (ie as Ipsen has stated)

This is therefore what I would expect, though what it would actually be I do not know.

Would be funny to see a full stack of shadow barb ogres on a defensive build get one hitted due to losing soooo much defence :)
It's the same modifier, like with dark spells it does not stack but the stronger (dominion) replaces master:

It's the same modifier

Thank you for testing.

I guess to give another example, it's like fortune wheel (genies) where the 2nd will replace the first, rather than stacking / cancelling out.
