Author | Do not use xolla.com, they stole 100 diamonds from me. |
I attempted to make two payments through them, three weeks ago :
> bitcoin:3PFiEJoPQ18QUJTbqySTZYR5B23sfDkWbT?amount=0.00281408
> Lords of War and Money, 36.52 Diamonds, invoice 334932171;
> for help go to support.xsolla.com
and
> bitcoin:3GYhN4Mx43snt5ywj25uyDaWvr5vyeTLbV?amount=0.00716827
> Lords of War and Money, 100.57 Diamonds, invoice 335385904;
> for help go to support.xsolla.com
These were paid the same day (and they spent the bitcoin immediately upon receipt) : https://blockchain.info/address/3PFiEJoPQ18QUJTbqySTZYR5B23sfDkWbT and https://blockchain.info/address/3GYhN4Mx43snt5ywj25uyDaWvr5vyeTLbV
After a few days of not receiving my diamonds, I inquired with Dealer, who told me to talk to xolla.
I sent xolla two emails, and a few days later I received one incomprehensible answer written cvasi-English that could have been read to mean anything but perhaps was trying to mean that they'll refund in ten days.
About two weeks later they indeed made one refund, for the smaller sum, and kept the other.
They also deleted the online receipts, https://www.coinbase.com/checkouts/c102ae00c8cfd6a37c108e4448f057ac and https://www.coinbase.com/checkouts/1f3d9af5e121d989c1c5bf78bd372953 which used to show the amounts and addresses they had requested.
The moral of this sad adventure -- don't use xolla.com, they're thieves of the "polite" sort, meaning that they will steal as much as they think they can get away with under the guise of doing business in a language they don't comprehend, taking weeks to do partial refunds and generally pretending to have misunderstood how this whole honesty and not-stealing-peoples-shit thing works. |
I've donated twice to the game, both times in (different) diamonds sales, both times through xsolla. Things went just as planned, I have no complaints about them. I paid in currency through the bank, instead of bitcoin. |
I am not a fan of xsolla.
Due to security reasons, xsolla does not allow me to use paypal to buy diamonds anymore.
Why? I have no idea/
Also, I always receivemy diamonds after a long period of time. (hours) despite being charged on my card |
@_Sworks_ so you were the lucky portion of a selective scam. That's how these are worked irl, they don't outright steal from everyone, they just skim here and there. That way they can stay in "business" / keep the theft going for a long time, with better total results. |
I have used Xsolla many times, never had any problems with my credit card. |
I have used Xsolla many times, never had any problems with my credit card.
Same for me, never had any problems. |
I always use xsolla, never faced any problem.
Not even delay for diamonds to appear in account, always instant process for me so far. |

Had the same problem earlier. Just do a chat with customer support of Xsolla.. They'll release the hold on the card. |
I think its because paypal has a fairly customer-biased refund policy.
i.e. the customer can ask for a refund and get it too fairly easily and quickly.
That becomes a problem *cough* for companies which would rather not have that.
That is why they *cough* deny service through paypal.
Because *cough* it would make things more complicated for them. Not the customer. |
I've been searching for the initial sources of my previous claims.
But i can't seem to find them.
I'll post again if i do find them though i'm still fairly certain of what i said. Some businesses don't use paypal because it *cough* doesn't fit their business model.
The same is also a fair bit true for credit cards and the like but to a much lesser degree therefore they're tolerated/more widespread. |
for ImmortalRegis:
Why are you adding those coughs in there? It's hardly a conspiracy. PayPal do allow charge backs for the most trivial of reasons. In a game where you are rewarding payment immediately, that is open for abuse.
If you need to put limits on the number of diamonds, or restrict Paypal from being accessed in certain countries to prevent charge-back abuse, as the admins have done, then go ahead and do it! |
In terms of Xsolla, I've never had an issue in roughly 30 donations. When the diamonds were delayed by 10 minutes, I would chuck a message to Xsolla support in the chat box and I would have them 2 minutes later. |
I suggest to use card , no problem and cheaper :) |
That is why they *cough* deny service through paypal
I can (and have) bought diamonds via PayPal. So no proof that admins are denying service. Maybe there is some other regional issue?
Similar experience to others.. always got my diamonds quickly. |
I suspect that the Xsolla subdivision in charge of refunds from Russia/Ukraine office could not verify bitcoin currency, or are simply unable to process it.. I certainly don't think this is intentional fraud. |
Okay, so another 'note' to add, (tho i wonder why i didn't say it before because it cuts to the heart of the matter)
As an enthusiast myself, LordMircea, i highly appreciate you using bitcoin/BTC to make payments. You're doing god's work here trying to get it more accepted at places.
However its fairly obvious why that isn't going to happen anytime soon. It's still a very highly volatile "currency" as its price can never be certain.
And its current asset class is closer to things like gold and platinum where it doesn't have much intrinsic value but more of a thing to be held/ kept as future investment.
Or to put things more directly, BTC is not really a currency. Not yet.
If you imagine yourself trading in gold for a service instead, this situation makes much more sense. That is why you simply don't use gold for transactions but instead exchange the gold first at a bank or wherever then use the money for transactions. |
I have no idea why you imagine any of this has any relevancy. Some dubious outfit made some promises to me, which it did not keep, and then stole some of my shit. I am unimpressed to hear all about how they didn't steal some other shit from some other people -- guess what, most convicted thieves doing life sentences in california will die in prison because they stole THREE TIMES, total, in the course of their entire lives. They didn't steal from every single person they ran into. Three times, that's it.
So... whatever, I get it, "it didn't happen to me" bla bla. If people had an iota more sense than this nonsense, Maddof wouldn't be more famous than Joshua Bell. Player banned by moderator Corey until 2018-05-13 12:28:01 // F.R 4.4. // It is strictly forbidden to use foul language. Relapse x1 |

I'm surprised you didn't realize that xsolla didn't steal from you but rather committed fraud. Of course, assuming what you claim to be true.
And what was stated does have relevancy. It means that xsolla is fairly trusted of a source or has shown to work most of the time.
And that your case might be special/ a first-time instead of it being their M.O. to commit fraud and risk getting caught rather than simply just do their proper work all the time.
(which would be much better than risk getting caught for or lose reputation because of a paltry sum about 716,827 satoshi which is about 60 usd right now.)
If you have interest in a discussion of sorts why not try to refute the points that i made in #16 or try to build on top of them? Lead this to somewhere productive, if you have any iota more sense. |
for LordMircea:
You came in with a clickbaity title, Do not use xolla.com, they stole 100 diamonds from me. and then dismiss the counter-argument that most of us have had a positive experience as irrelevant. Every opinion in this thread is worth considering when deciding if they want to use Xsolla or not.
On another note, how about you stop swearing on the forums? |
but seriously though every donation i have made has been through xolla and has been fine as with everybody elses...
i would think that the problem lies in using bitcoin to buy diamonds as bitcoin is not yet exactly a universally used currency... maybe try to get in touch with xolla services and explain your case...
i don't think they are frauds... |
