Author | Question on Battle Sportsmanship |
If a team mate blocks your units (repeatedly) from doing damage to the enemy, is that fair game, or is it against the rules?
Note there was no risk of losing the game.
Regards | Depends on a case by case basis.
if you can link the battle then sure.
But if there was no risk/ no intentional sabotage, i don't think it counts as an offense.
Bad sportsmanship tho, idk about that. It'll have to depend on his intentions... | Looks like this will just be a case of "suck it up buttercup" then. I've played other PVP games where some people work "just" within the limits of what the developers will tolerate.
The guy/girl is an experienced player who moved into positions that offered no tactical advantage for the team, but blocked me from attacking juicy targets at the edge of my range. Moving to other squares offered him/her no extra risk.
He only did it 3 times but it was enough to ensure he got double the XP of myself.
I'd even say he was an expert at this behaviour, as what admin is going to sit thru 20 minutes to only maybe penalize based on only a few dodgy moves.
All good. Hopefully I will be his opponent one day. | if the player got double XP than you, then he probably isn't as experienced as you are saying. Because, in this game, XP is the worst enemy of any decently built character.
IF you mean he got higher FSP, then it's another history. But know that FSP is bound to the aferage of the level, so not just related to how much damage you did.
As of blocking targets, you are saying his moves had no advantage for the team, but maybe they had some sort of advantage for his troops. Without seeing the battle, nobody can be sure. But all in all, often i find myself blocked or blocking my partner's movements, because i actually need to remove a stack from a place or because he is having his own reasons. As far as I know, this doesn't fall under the "bad sportmanship" flag, as there can be loads of reasons for chosing to do it, strategically speaking.
It would be a different thing if a player casts a fireball to a phantom stack his team mate summoned, for example. Unless it was a deciding move for a victory. |
