Author[News] Hunting Season
Doing away with ABC and the end art reward, this event rewards equally if not more than other events (At an average). But that is only the case for people who could complete the quest 20 or so times (without any records) The 'chance' for that to happen is proportional to the number of players playing a faction, cause more the players, faster the hunts becoming impossible.

The Problem here is, not every DE & Elf (and any other popular faction) have the skill to set a record hunt. Therefore they don't even have a chance to get the gold from quests let alone the rewards from records.

The cost to change faction at lower levels is small, and Higher levels mostly already have every castle upgraded. Mid Level players don't have any other castle's built (most don't). Since a majority of the players are mid levels (And the new players are largely alts) this event is hated. (Atleast hated by the popular factions)

But what can be done without changing the core nature of the event? The nature of this event is to find the best 'Skilled' Hunter. This is not a war in time or a war to defend the Empire. Not everyone can be rewarded equally. That is the nature of this event.

So just tough luck for the Popular factions. (Of course, if you get records in these factions it means you're seriously more skilled than many)
This game has long been set up that to fully engage with it you need to have multiple castles. We are fortunate that with the number of events where you can get fsp without a castle means that pressure is not so noticeable. The fact that in this event you benefited from multiple Castles should not a surprise. In my opinion it highlights eithera lack of long term planning to prepare for these situations or a lack of gold. Those are not faults with the system itself.
for Lord MilesTeg:
Those are obvious faults with the event. This event's purpose is to determine the best hunter not who has a barbarian or demon castle. Also even if you have all castles built it takes away your freedom of choice for no reason. It's good and all if you have many castles but it is beyond question that level and faction bias is a flaw which admins try their best to avoid but sometimes fail in doing, rather than something intentional to penalize those who have fewer castles or wish to play a certain faction despite having other castles.
For everyone except Mrs Xianglin:

1. Level bias especially for low level players is definitely a big problem that should be solved, not only in this events. For high level player, I think some preference coule be acceptable, because they have fighten hard to achieve that level (comepared to some level-stayers).

2. Faction bias is not that much in fact. Elf and de have already had a lot of advantages in daily combats such as HG/MG/TG. They are also more or less easier to handle for average-level players like me, compared to some other factions. It could be one reason for their big populations. Besides,elf/lelf/de/tde also benifit in some events that could be envied by other factions. Every faction can have its dominant field, maybe the difference is only the area of it.

3. Multiple castles are not a huge gap for most of the players. As long as one played wisely and economically, at least one additional castle is affordable. The choice is provided to everyone, so why not enjoy the versatility of the game?

4. There are still many things that are not perfect. I also dislike the 0.2 mechanism, the last-hour stategy, and something else. But it is still an interesting event.

(Btw, as an elf and de myself, I have no bias when saying these. I played as bb, dark bb, alt de this time, but got less records than when I played elf years ago)
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
