Author | Required for production per unit |
Ok, let's try this again.
I was looking at some facilities. I thought I understood the information under the "Required for production per unit" table. But then I put those numbers in a calculator, and the total comes out not quite what I expected. For example, for Composite bow works:
Hours required: 4 (hourly wage is 220)
Leather per hour: 1.9 (cost of leather is 182)
Nickel per hour: 0.7 (cost of nickel is 1705)
Steel per hour: 0.1 (cost of steel is 765)
I assumed the total production cost per unit would be just the sum of these components:
4 * (220 + 1.9 * 182 + 0.7 * 1705 + 0.1 * 765) = 7343.2
A composite bow costs 8419. Profit = 1075.8 (14.6%). Reasonable?
And then, for Mithril armor factory:
Hours required: 187
Mithril per hour: 7.85
Total production cost: 187 * (220 + 7.85 * 3334) = Some insane amount
So I must be interpreting these numbers incorrectly. What do these numbers mean then? | In the Produced table, there's an Output column.
For Composite Bow it is 0.3 and for Mithril it is 1.
I believe this output also determines how much gets produced. | I see the output number, but I wasn't sure how that's related to the "Required for production per unit" cost. Could it be that by "per unit" they mean "per the stated output"? Even so, that wouldn't make sense numerically.
Can you elaborate? | Another thread about the subject:
