| Any good ideas how to win this battle with shadow barbar , seems hopeless for me. | Ups forgot battle link :D

Try removing Erudition Branch, ti get a good Delay, and Slow by -40%?
... Since +7 more Attack doesnt really do any "Big Difference", when the Attack of your Hero is like 70+, and the enemy is Min AP (Hunt, so no Hero giving him Bonuses).
I was about to say: "This looks like the type of battle where its more about "Build", than "Skill".
Yet Idk.
There is a point when you have no more Stacks for Retal, and Roc is Immobilized by Trees, so your Ogre takes a Retal Attack of -19 Ogres.
Which could be prevented by Casting Confusion with Orcs, which you dont do, in that Battle.
Also, I'd Blind the bottom Fairy right in first turn, not when she already closes the gap.
Why? Because when Blind is over, she is already near to attack immediately, catching you off Guard.
But w/e, the Blind isnt that Long, as of Duration, anyway, because their High HP.
(Not critisizing Btw, Im very very Unskilled xD You have seen me Fail in Tournament xD) | Or even try Expert Defence, instead of Erudition (And not Exp Delay as I suggested before).
Because at the end, it pretty much seems like your Ogre is gonna stay alone Vs the Fairies, so 30% reduction, gives you 30% more Ogres for the next Blow, and so on.
And in the battles where its about Standing alive and keep hitting, its the marginal gaps that decide the win (Bad english there, but you get my point , probably).

If this is the case, I would probably avoid giving advice tbh. Nothing personal, just you may do more harm than good.
One build you could try is taking last breath so you have more troops to take retal with and morale tree (with thief/ plunderer neck) to have bursts with ogre. I found that enemy liked to hit my cyclops, so may be worth putting that stack at the bottom as bait.
Casting confusion with your orc shamans would be more useful than weakness as it will reduce the retal damage you will take. | One build you could try is taking last breath
Or if you're feeling lucky.. take luck and morale build :P | | Hm m i might see this working out | Trying wolf rider can be option maybe.. hyenas are weak, with that big attack, i think wolfs can do good.
Although seems impossible without lucky morales. | | Definitely better to have expert delay than expert erudition. | This is my recent battle log for that fight. Mine is the hard level though. Also I used the bbset for this fight, but you should be able to do better with other sets (e.g., dungeon or pirate). Expert darkness is the must and also full luck talents are preferred as well.
