I thought using scripts is not allowed.
But all of his market purchases are within 30-35 seconds of placing it for selling.
How is that possible?
And he has easily earned so much gold as we can see in his profile.

Any item kept for sale, if below a normal rate, is purchased by him within that minute. How is that possible? |
| It is possible that he either uses a script which alerts him as soon as good item is for sell or his script directly buys it instead of him. I believe 1St option is true. It is very difficult to prove it. I don't believe he is reselling without a scripting. |
So no way that someone poses a penalty or anything on that player?

It is very difficult to prove it.
I believe only admins can make such a decision.
Ideally they should be having tools to flag such suspicious activity.
On their side they can see all the requests performed from a given account or machine, like more than what you can see in a transfer log, for example: how many times and how often someone loads/refreshes certain market pages or lots, or if it follows a human or bot pattern. I am not sure however if they do.
We can only speculate here, whether we agree or disagree with your observation.

Wow, he does make a lot of money from trading:

That was a costly mistake then. He lost nearly 30K for the three rings.
Maybe that's karma. Someone was complaining that the mithril rings were all bought by somebody and resold with huge markups. |
