Which units do you like for their price/power? Please write your best examples :-)
Swordsman costing 97 are quite good with their large shield
Veterens are 60 and have become my main unit, while not a great damage output, with rage it increases. What I like them for is as a unit to take a hit, since you can put them in range of some units and then make use of the damage reduction for each tile covered.
infiltrators with poison and nimbleness are also rather cheap and can recruit sufficient numbers for poison to actually have an effect...
Any other hits?
I would expect infected zombies and protectors in this list, though do not have them myself to know leadership cost

Protectors 75 Points each unit
Boars 130 Points each unit
Elven bowmen 188 Points each unit

After revealing of units leadership, which one would you advice to others?

Which one is well balanced and could be used?

Btw, how I can calculate gold for died creature? Is there any formula comparing to leadership?

Shoot for stuff that has high initiative and speed and doesn’t take fetal. Cerberus, shrews, sprites are all good for this, you can go for tanky units like ogres. You want to have shooters too, and something to keep melee units from hitting shooters. Different combos work for different enemies
dwarven ursury is pretty good, good defense and 6 speed, and relatively cheap price.
I've liked infiltrators, good against high tier units, meant I've had profitable battles 1.2leg battles.

My basic setup is full in gremlin engineers as they often shoot first, full in one melee, and remaining in master spearmen. I then just switch around the melee to invaders if I need hard hitting, recruits if I need bulk or infiltrators if I need poison

Anyone know why the turncoat mages took no damage from the mine, he used the tactic previously on another battle and damage was done as normal. Some form of magic resistance not shown on the character description?

i use harpooner to pull shooters and their defenders toward my slow invader and mino :)
I think there will be some nice troops to augment battles as single troops.

1 harpooner can be very useful to pull things into range.
Chieftains will be useful for extra ini and bully, may be useful to make a shooter build more viable. Shamans, druids etc for rapid or stone though both very expensive

If the 1.5 difficulty stays at the same level and does not scale with LeG I can well see by the higher levels that 1.5 will not cost too much to win, or may even come into profit.
I find Griffins are really good
I know they are little expensive but with Unlimited retaliation they help a lot
