Author | Convert looted rare items |
I have tried to collect my looted rare items to see if I can over time get a set, with mixed success. I am for instance one item away from the full druid set and necromancer (or is it venomancer) set.
I do however have duplicates of several other pieces.
What I think would be good is if you could in some mechanism convert one of these items into another.
Obviously this would not be sensible to have a free reign, it should be with a cost.
some possibilities
Convert a rare item into a random different one from the same set, the item loses 1 durability for each attempt.
Or consume two rare arts to generate a specific one.
Or conversion at a nominal cost of gold. |
this is a bit ridiculous if you ask me :|
They are drops from battles. If you were going to "convert" one drop into another, that makes the whole thing meaningless. Might as well give you a choice to select the artifact right away after X number of battles. |
Its because it is a bit meaningless giving rare items when there redeeming feature is as a set bonus. Would you rather a drop of a 15/15 rare or 35/35 of a shop art.
In theory you should want the rare item, on face value it is more valuable. Though in practice they just get discarded or worn to make up AP on easy battles.
As such to me it is trying to rectify what feels like a silly situation where the rare items are considered trash.
Though don;t think for a second it will get implemented. |
where the rare items are considered trash. I agree that this does need rectification |
Well, the rare items could be exchanged between players, so the sets could be completed. |
I think it good idea , have seen simular things at other games. Most of rare arts without set are useless anyways |

I see your point better now. Thanks for clarifying this.
But i personally think its more natural to have no choice on drops. The problem lies in the definition of "rare" and "shop" |

I agree with this; however, I do think some sort of value should be added to them in some way to correct for the just get discarded or worn to make up AP on easy battles. problem. Getting a rare item should make the receiver happy but instead many people complain because of how useless they are. |
I like the idea a lot. After previous event I have a bunch of them with any useful use. Combining several into a random item of a set of choice, or combine 2 armies into a new random armour will still require some work and plannning to collect and combine for a full set.
As a selling point: giving people easier access to the full power of a set (on Fe. AG battles) might give an incentive to spend gold/diamond/money for your own set or rent them. |
