I wouldn't say it was unwinnable but this is an unfortunate problem of cg. The matchmaking sucks and often the battles are a case of stomp your enemy or get stomped. You had limited early dps and the enemy had much better ranged.
I play a bit of darkness demon myself and it is very difficult to carry if you are the highest level (and unfortunately in this battle DD played poorly)
