Necromancer: Skeleton Archers.

Trying out Necro faction and it seems that even when maxed - 100+ at FSL 0 they do very low damage. I might be remembering wrong but years ago they were considered an extremely powerful troop. How do they work in general? Is it wholly FSL dependent in this case and I just need to double the numbers?
Further more - if this is mostly FSL dependent would I be better off switching to the other type of Necromancer instead?
Skeleton bowmen are a strong troop in large numbers, which means you need a high FSL. FSL gives you additional skeletons (see "necromancy": https://www.lordswm.com/help.php?section=38)

Your skeleton bowmen count will increase a lot if you use a potion of skill.
How many skeleton bowmen are needed to hit 'hard' for CL9 - I've applied the potion and they do hit significantly higher numbers but it still does not seem to be worth it. Perhaps I am just not used to necromancer as a playstyle yet.
Skel bows don't hit very hard, but they have so much HP that they will outshoot almost anything. You just need to +HP talent and bid your time. If the ennemy does not come for you you kill their shooters and then shoot melee, if the ennemy comes for you you box around the skeletons and shoot melee in close range, and then the skels will hurt for sure.
