[2019.08.27] Day of Rampant barbarians

Author[2019.08.27] Day of Rampant barbarians
Astrologers proclaim the Day of Rampant barbarians! Only today:

  • All lords and ladies of combat level 5 or above may fight this type of enemy on the map.
  • Beat the enemy 5 times to earn 1000 gold, 10 times for 2000 more gold, and 15 times for an additional 2000 gold.
  • For each victory from 1 through 5, earn +0.5 Hunters' Guild points. Victories 6 through 10 will each give you +0.5 Mercernaries' Guild points. +1 Watchers' Guild point will be yours for attaining each victory from 11 through 15.
  • Victories are limited at 15.
  • Pretty easy this time :D
Closest thing we had to an event in a while
Can any artifact be used? Pretty easy means ... up to full AP for the latest battles or even some special artifact?

I think that the interesting part is to arrive up to end for the +5 WG points, if easier to win instead of a regular WG
for pippo4: I did all of them comfortably with 15 AP.

Don't forget to give it that authentic event feeling by complaining about it :P

For anyone whos gona be playing:

Enemy is mostly huge stacks of ogres and a little shooters. So base your tactics around that. Mass delay wins this EZ.
    easier than previous rampants
I haven't played yet. Is it easy enough to play with a sub faction (no PoS)?

I haven't played yet. Is it easy enough to play with a sub faction (no PoS)?

Depends on faction, I'd imagine with HK it should be fairly easy. Enemy numbers can get quite big so you may want to delay / rapid faction rather than going toe to toe with slow units.
I went ahead with min ap for first 10 rounds. And then choose Max initiative arts for next 5 rounds.
I chose elf and split up my eleven shooters in half so that they along with my anchorites can take out the shooters first. Now that enemy doesn't have shooters i summon phantoms of efk and unicorn. And annihilate the opponent creatures.

There are only 2 kinds of rounds
    1) large stack of wolves/boars + medium stack of ogres + few shooters + medium stack of goblins

I recommend to take out wolves first then ogres. Shooters can be taken out by hero itself or any small stack of shooters you have.
Then proceed to take out ogres since if you take out ogres first, the boars do a lot of damage if not killed early causing the ogres huge hit points to only prove hard for you to kill.
Hence order is boar/wolf -> ogres

    2) enormous stack of ogres + low stack of shooters + Enormous stack of goblins

I recommend you take out goblins first with your shooters as it can keep the power full delay at bay.
Then use a stack of 1 troop to take retaliation and start hitting the ogres. If your 1 stack troop is dead, use a ultra defensive stack like treefolk/hydra to take retaliation. Don't let the ogres touch your main hitting stack (efk/shrews) as they will wipe them out in 1 shot.

    Arts : preferably high initiative
Talents : lots of luck and morale to get fast turns and hit hard.

    GL
Competed fully in min AP. This is the easiest I have fought so far in this part.
lvl 7 Necro with skellie bowmen - EZ
Shrews dominate this. Did min ap
lost 1 battle. ogres got good morale triggers and it was gg
