Yeah pyromancer only costing 17 points, so a level 7 can run armour shredding?

Sure. I can't say it felt great though. If the ennemy has less than 33 defense then the fireball lowers less defence than the SP investment. Well, a bit more with racial, but it also needs KN and talents for a small effect.

I've had more luck with battlefury backed with some holy and all into attack.
I think many people will get AG 3 with this release
One thing worth appreciating that unlike invokers who do 50% damage to the main target with avenge, these guys do 120% damage. So it's like an insanely strong tool to destroy a stack of enemy shooters in first turn.
Be that sharpshooters or goblin archers or temptresses, 13 invokers on offense stats should wipe entirely
Some random thoughts
Obviously, I'm working under the assumption that talent points will remain unchanged, while troop counts are given a huge reduction.

Might Build:
This guy has very strong talent setups. I've been playing the campaigns with striving speed (because I have 10 SP for free), and expert fortune. Someone with more mana could also take piercing luck along with striving speed, or even drop striving speed.
I think taking max ascetics and splitting into 3 stacks is a wonderful choice. They're tanky enough to outlast enemy shooters, and in a might build, do hella lot of damage.
You already have punishers who'll kill a major enemy shooter in their first turn, so you have a decent ranged advantage in the game.

A build I haven't tried yet is max bears + Innate swiftness. Or Tactics + innate swiftness. These bears are already have high ini, and they have a AOE fear. If you took Soldier's luck too, you could rip the enemy in the first turn itself.
Full Mage:
This will be interesting, since there are no sorcery talents.
So there has to be some might aspect to it.
Of course, they do have +10 SP coming from faction bonus itself.

Expert chaos + DOF + pyromancer.
Then, maybe DOT? It's only 6 talent points, and has insane utility depending on where the game is going. In a 2v2, you'd go with fireball till enemy is hurt, and then switch to chains?
I think seething anger would also be a must. It's another 15% troop damage for just 6 points. Even if you're just defending with troops, retal damage on DOF'd troops would be significant, and this would help.

Since there's still plenty of Talent points to go here, I think I'd go with Vitality.
Mountain sentries defending with corner, with Vitality, would become hard to kill.
They have large shield, and an ability that gives them +5 defense anyway.
I don't have enough mana for it, but stand your ground or steadyness could also be an amazing pick. You could match the tankyness of a DE with this one.



If only these guys had the DE luck talent that gave luck to hero magic. Would have been an ideal use case scenario for that one.

I'm very exctied about this faction so far. So many possibilities. What are your thoughts?
For a lvl 17 to have: 14 Punishers, 32 Azcetics, 66 BeastSlayers and 84 Ursary, plus the ability to cripple enemy defense...now that's OP :)))

BTW: Why meteorite doesn't break enemy armor? I've tried both meteorite and fire ball and only the last one works...
Meteorite is Earth based damage, not fire.

At my level, I can take Expert Chaos + Stand your ground. Wow this is gonna be so lit.
Lava dragons and Punishers at 100+ defense when defending. Mountain Sentries and Bears at 80.
The game play should be very similar to DE, except no sorcery, no elemental call, yet +10 SP and a lot tankier.
Whatever happened to releasing factions AFTER the Insight Tourney?
After damaging 33% armor also i am just able to deal lets say 330 damage instead of the normal 300 damage without pyromancer(armor damage activated), whys that any idea guys :(

How much damage do you think you should do? You should send the Admins with correct value for them to fix it accordingly.
If I had to guess (that's all I can do, without combat links), either 1) attack - defense was already too high before the DoF, and breaking their armor wouldn't help much, 2) The defense was very low, and 33% reduction on single digit numbers is not useful, or 3) 330 and 300 are wrong numbers.

Hopefully the next minibalance will nerf the numbers quite nicely, and i am hoping for another nerf to unholy necromancer mirage dragon count.

IMO, offense and luck are way too cheap, with this high recruit count people will just go might build (without DoF) and be sucessfull.
I cant see the reason def talents are that expensive, whille everything else is a bargain.

If it stays this way ill be pretty dissapointed, nothing original, just another rush in faction..
Rush in dwarf loses to DoF dwarf. And since everyone else is DoF dwarf right now, I wouldn't play the rusher dwarf yet.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of what's going on. You really can't play any faction/class except DoF dwarf till they get nerfed.
I can't even try a mage dwarf because of this madness.
And I really don't wanna play any more games where everyone is fire dwarf.
