Lessons of history + battle fury

AuthorLessons of history + battle fury
As battle fury ability of beastslayers says if the creature is dealt damaged to, it's initiative increases by 2 and attack by 5

Does this happen if an ally tribal performs lessons of history on it too or is it only applicable when enemy hits it?
I've not seen it occur to confirm, but theoretically yes as it does not have to be enemy damage to trigger it. I've seen it triggered by allies
I've seen people use 1 ascetics + fireball on own beastslayers to trigger ability. Must presume all ally hits count.
When we translated this ability, we asked for clarification exactly on this, and were told that any damage will count. Hence the phrasing "when this creature is dealt damage" is intentionally broad. If it doesn't work that way, then we were misled.
Ah nice.
This way it would be Pretty useful in hunts I think?
Is there any other way i could trigger this except for damaging spells and lessons of history ?
Or using madness of berserker
through shot, dragon breath, charge, crush are some abilities that damage self.. even griffin dive :p
Ahh thanks everyone :)
