Few basic principles
As your total power of any troop increases then you get less of them for the same difficulty.
You get more overall power from silver converted than for finding basic troops
In general Melee troops cost a lost less to convert than ranged or casters
For these troops therefore the increase in power of upgrading does not tend to equate to the sme increase in enemies that you can kill, whereas for melee it will tend to.
As such
initially - look only for troops - I would recommend a bias to melee. I am trying those with high damage potential from double strike etc. I would keep some shooters that have a high upgrade amount.
After a bit get silver, almost exclusively and use it to upgrade melee. Only upgrade your melee when you have no significant intention of adding anymore troops to them, or else are happy to ditch them later and swap something else in (the decrease in numbers received after upgrading melee is less marked than for ranged due to the lower silver invested).
Keep collecting silver and use this to boost you over the relevant thresholds for HG, MG and potions at the earliest point.
Keep collecting silver, aiming to max out all your troops. Be careful on your numbers with this you donlt want to get stuck with 900k of silver and need 950k to upgrade your bows and have nothing else to sink it into |

| Best to avoid high amount of magic dmg imo. Anyways a good thing to know is that a high amount of magis will mostly shot, even when confused. |
