AuthorNature Magic
Does wasp swarm offer any advantage to magic punch? It's a higher level spell, costs the same amount of mana, but does a lot less damage. It also doesn't affect undead, mechanical and elemental creatures, whereas magic punch ignores magic resistances. It says the spell knocks enemies back on the ATB scale but is this ever significant enough to actually use the spell over alternative ones? Is there a good scenario where you would opt for one over the other?
Wasp swarm has a limited use:

In hunts, wg quests, MG quests when you are dealing with large stacks of slow units, expert nature wasp can give you a lot more hits before having to take retal again. You can also get that extra hit on a big caster unit. Once the stacks get too big, wasp swarm is useless.

If you combine expert slow, wasp and barb special hit, slow stacks get one turn or less.

In pvp, it is a lot more situational: you can make sure that your big stack hits before your opponent's big stack (2 stacks of guardians for example). A necro ally with expert nature can be very useful at times.
