There are dames, upon this land, without a blemish upon their skin,
with soft hands and softer cheeks, with unmatched passion within,
but they do aught not but weaken men, and fill their soul with sin.
For there are many a fair maiden, with beauty that brings shame to the full moon.
There are many who wield in hand, beauty as their power,
with time and passing age their fleeting beauty turning sour,
Better than soft hands are hands with scars and the will to empower,
A blemished face is nothing strange but a blemished soul will rot soon.
I string these words together for a maiden not fairest of all,
I string these words together for the axis that lets not the Kingdom fall,
A maiden with the power and resolve to stand guard like a fort, a grand wall.
I will not a love a maiden fair who knows naught of ardour.
