People who stopped playing but came back to the game: what brought you back? |
Topic moved from "Queries and help" to "General game forum". |
Thanks for moving the topic. I had a query so I figured I would post in the Queries and Help forum but if this is the right place then that's great.
I left the game because I got busier and felt that things in the game were getting a little too hectic after the merger. I came back because I freed up some time irl. |
This game was still at the corner of my mind when I left it quite a while back. Came back to see if there were any new updates but nothing much except tribals. I'll probably get another hiatus and come back later to see if the admins push out any quality updates or not |
No problem, usually open-ended questions that prompt discussions are better for the general game forum so I moved it here. |
Despite its faults, this is the only game I know where I play 10+ years building one hero, no rush, no feeling of risk that someone will erase it or take away what I have achieved, rob my hero when I'm not online.
It gives the feeling of both online game when you are online and offline game when you go offline. |
well said elrond, and i agree ;) |
for Elrond:
for a larger part same group of people who you fight and bicker about, and at the end they are the ones to tell you the correct strategy to a fight, love it |
for Elrond:
Agreed. I like that it's a long-term thing. |
I rage quit after the merge and then came back after 6 or 7 years away to improve my Russian. I had taken some classes at uni a few years before and thought 'hey what about that Russian game you used to play for like 10 hours a day?'
I realised this game is actually quite horrible for learning because of all the flamboyant language, not sure i'll ever have to talk about the mercenaries guild and what spells dark elves can cast in real life.
An old clanmate sucked me back into .com and old habits kicked in. My Russian still sucks. |
