for Lawton:
Why do you torture yourself so, I do not even bother to count.

I do the event for the TG points, the interest in the battles and decision making process of deciding which best to go for. The strategic element that is inherent in the game and should be (in my mind) the main draw for interest. The reward is an added bonus, and is secondary to anything else. The fact that the probability of the most desirable drops is low is to be expected, there are very few set ups in any game where this is not the case. A bonus, no matter how small is still a good thing. The fact that there are better rewards that are not received, does not change the fact that one is in an advantaged position compared to the alternative which is to receive nothing. Be happy for what you have, rather than what you have not.

I must however apologise, on reflection this is a disproportionate response to the one line you have written above, and perhaps should hit the delete button. Evidently from you reading this I clearly didn't, mostly since I am responding to the compendium of your resposes in this manner, of which there were earlier within this thread.

I wish I knew how you could become truly happy in this game, as opposed to the current situation, where you are happy to engage in a large proportion of the activity (and thus vte with your feet), though seemingly from your words are not truly happy.

On other news, I am find a DoF build a good switch after having a pure chaos build to begin with.

I am impressed by your speech, in my opinion soooo true and accurate, bowing to you in respect and appreciation Mr Aristoteles ;)
Anyone near around 60-65k silver after 96 battles ?
67k
67k
Sure, buddy.
I'm on 73 battles at the moment, I expect to be at around 55k by the 96th. So bit close really, but an idea at any rate.
Is it known from previous events what the final conversion rate from silver gained to gold is?

Any estimates? 1:1 seems to me like an easy guess.
i wish it was 1 to 1 haha
@Lord MilesTeg, So stating the facts is now considered torturing oneself is it? You know the statistics is the same for you and everyone else, no matter how you try to spin it as how it is interesting making battle decisions etc. Please, after the first day even you know that it is becoming nothing but repetitive battles one after another.
A bonus no small is still a good thing? Maybe you settle for scraps but where I come from we do not. The armaments awards are the biggest shite ever, only a new player benefits from them, the rest allready have almost all of them if not all.

Also nobody is really happy in this game for years now, the dwindling player base is actual proof of it, otherwise player base would be booming, this hasn't been the case for a long time now. The small newly created accounts are clearly multi accounts from allready existing people here.
You see all those guilds that give you extra parameters etc? It will never give you a leg up, the AI will always have more parameters, higher initiative no matter what thiefs guild etc. you gain. You will always remain two steps back, and the higher level you become those two steps become three steps and four steps back etc due to the even more extra talents the AI keeps getting.
Also it is 2020, a game where you have to wait almost an hour to do another hunt, need to wait 15 minutes to get back to full health to play again, need to wait an hour after a failed thiefing to be able to do another, etc. etc. a game like that in 2020 should not even exist. A game like that was fine over a decade ago but now in 2020? So it is no wonder no new players arrive. One should be able to play as much as one would want to, not be restricted as if one has succumbed to down syndrome.
Why do you keep playing then? Like honestly, why? You have nothing good to say and yet you keep coming back.
@Meshy, To point out the naked emperor since nobody else will and thinks is clothed.
49,945 silver after 96 battles. A lil on the lower side had 11 losses
Okay, exactly two losses so far, both to tribals - has anyone else had special problems with them?
for Meshy: He hates the Game but he’s freakin addicted. So he can’t quit!
Yeah its working (if you have raised troops at the end of battle)

Did you verify this? I found this to be untrue.
Tribals and necro with lots mana
Pretty happy with the event, moved up 2 fsp levels for wiz, chaos build worked really well for farming low battles buying cannons and ship upgrades. I won't rank high, my silver is not up to the level you guys were talking about, but I'm happy nonetheless, beats the normal leader guild events that keep popping up.

Read the post he made after the one you quoted.

Same :)
for Lawton:

Stating facts is of course not torturing yourself, as no doubt you were trying to highlight, though of course that is misinterpreting what I said, which of course is equally likely to be what you intended. Making a record as you go through the event of what drops you receive is an active process, the more passive default for most would be to see it and not record it in anyway. By actively recording it to reaffirm your outlook on this game, gives rise to more fuel of your negativity, and it is this action which is causing you to have an increased level of dissatisfaction in the game.

bonus no small is still a good thing? Maybe you settle for scraps but where I come from we do not.
I hate to contradict you, but you are settling for scraps, just like the rest of us. You played the event didn;t you and are still here. Moaning about it to a forum which the admins to not read is in practice no different to the rest of us. We vote with our feet, not with our words in this game.

The fact of the matter is that we are here engaging with this game. No matter how we spin it, justify it to ourselves or argue it away, there is one inalienable truth. We have a choice, to play or not play this game. To write or not write on the forum. No amount of rhetoric can change that. The fact that we are here, means that for whatever reason as we judge it, we have deemed that we are happier engaging with the game than not. Those people that have left are the evidence of sufficient dissatisfaction to leave. The only way you can really win your argument to the polar extreme in which you couch it is to leave, in which case you would not be here to win it.

To me I do not like to view things as either one of two extremes, while it is easier to argue things in that way, or simpler to view them in these terms, they do not in my experience fit the reality very often at all.

This game has flaws, big flaws.
This game had interesting aspects, significantly interesting aspects.
I am able to recognise that I have almost no influence on most of these aspects other than how I interact with them. In that limited choice that I have I choose to interact with positivity, because I like to be positive. Positive is fun.I will focus on the good, and accept and recognise the bad, though no dwell on them too much, since they are immutable.

As a final point. Do not liken to people with a disability. People do not succumb to Down Syndrome. It is a genetic disability that they are born with and have no choice. I would hope that we have more tolerance and understanding of the rich tapestry that humanity takes in all aspects and treat all with equality and fairness.
@Lord MilesTeg, I don't look at things positive or negative. I see something wrong then I point it out, I will not pretend it isn't there because there are other right things around it. What you are saying comes to the line of a serial killer that keeps on donating to charity and you keep on focusing on his donations to fit your 'positive' narrative. Looking at things positive is not fun, it is called keeping yourself delusional and ignorant. Wrong is still wrong no matter how much good flows around it.
@Lord MilesTeg, Also there is no voting in this game. The only reason that I am here is to see how people keep marching to the beat of the administration and do not even dare to point out any bad elements, becoming more and more delusional lost in their own created bubble where they demand everyone to agree to how they see it. They even try mocking the ones that do point out the bad elements of the game, this sais a lot of the remaining player base as well, mostly toxic. So no wonder no new players join this game. Even the forum is left with just the same dozen orso people, it's almost dead.
So instead of leaving I will keep on pointing out the naked emperor while you all think he is clothed while applauding him all the way. Ofcourse that is until the day comes the emperor drops dead.
