Author[Update] Numbers over objects in HTML battles
"Numbers over objects" option has been added to the battle settings, which will always display the amount of units and damage done above all objects on the battlefield.

also on the .ru forums the admin is asking people who prefer Flash player, why they are playing on it and why they don't like HTML5 battles. Seems like a nice stab to them, or just a way to ask and improve HTML ;d
Flash is getting deprecated by end of year, so I guess admins want to see why people are still sticking to Flash. Although I admit, this could result in some improvements to the HTML5 player
I'm not really sure why you wouldn't want to switch to HTML at this point. I had a look through the .RU thread and it seems that most people are complaining about minor stuff:

Large creatures overlapping enemies making it hard to see
The colour scale of the battle
Not being able to hide outsider chat in HTML.

Then there was the player who said the sound of the battles is lower quality, which seems like a weird thing to be concerned about in the battle haha

The main thing for anyone who is resistant to switch to the HTML view is to enable the classic layout for HTML, so that the chat returns to the bottom of the screen. It's the easiest way to get comfortable with it. You can do this in a battle, by clicking the cog wheel icon and selecting to enable the classic view.

I think the biggest HMTL5 issue is you don't have the option to hand over control to a team player in clan pvp, not sure if resolved though.

I had done this and took off most most of things that make too much "noise" for my eyes like the numbers when hit a unit and such and it wasn't that bad, problem is that it doesn't keep that changes and I had to do it in every battle, not comfortable if it doesn't save the settings I want.

who plays with sound anyway pff :D :D

Large creatures overlapping enemies making it hard to see

this is essentially what got solved in this update so that's great :)

for Meshy:
Is that feature really used that much? If so, then they really should add that in :D
for Hapkoman:

It would only be used by clans that stand up for themselves

Keep that judgment to yourself man. I prefer flash interface.. HTML is hardly new tech. Might seem like that to some people, but we both know that its not new. The game incorporated HTML later but at this point HTML does not give any extra features over flash, in fact i would argue its the other way around at this moment because the transition is not at 100% yet.

And for forcing a shift into its adopted cartoonized version of the game, it just turns me off.
for virtual_vitrea:
The only transition that is not at 100% yet is the one Meshy mentioned. The flash player is not supported anymore by Adobe and thus vulnerabilities will arise. To add to that, HTML is still being supported and updated with newer capabilities that help improve performance, technologies etc.

I thought Admins stopped fixing the bugs in Flash? Similarly to some creature abilities? I could be wrong due to not using Flash.

Blame Adobe
Blame Adobe

More like blame Apple XD
More updates to HTML!

1) New option "Narrow battlefield" available in the battle settings. Makes the battlefield side proportions the same as in Flash. Also the perspective of the battle shows up as in Flash.
2) Objects slightly made smaller
3) Battle grid slightly made thinner
4) Some bugs were fixed

Some features that are planned in the nearest future:
1) Hand over control in clan battles
2) Chat display options

Very cool indeed.
Another update you guys have probably already noticed in the HTML battles!

- Added missing animations for troops
- Added transfer of control in clan battles
- Added chat display options
- Fixed some bugs

Glad this was done.
