Can someone explain to me what does Area: (Number) mean?

| Area = how big a facility is. The number of people that can be employed by a facility in a shift is 3 times the area. This also means larger area = more number of goods produced in a shift of an hour |

Yep post #2 is correct. There is no lore that explicitly states it is in relation to facility 'size' but Area number * 3 = max number of workers.
It doesn't necessarily correlate to more goods being produced (because it depends if the work slots are filled) but it has higher production potential.
Generally higher area number = higher share price (other factors excluded) |

| You can't level it up, you can only change the art being produced to an art from a similar category. |
