I don't understand how the blacksmiths at multiple factions work. Say, what is the benefit of having a blacksmith built at each of 10 faction castles versus only having a blacksmith built in only one of the faction castles?
Does the former allow you to repair 10 items at a time or give you discount on repair price, or both? |
If your active faction doesn't have a blacksmith, you can't make a repair - you have to switch to the castle which has it.
There is no additional advantages having multi blacksmiths. |
having blacksmith in one faction means you have to be in that faction to smith so if you playing any other faction you have to switch back and forth to repair |
Trust me it seems a waste of gold, but well worth it lol ☺ |
A long time ago there was a cost to switching between factions. So there was an incentive of building the same type of building in multiple factions (blacksmith, market, fort, etc...).
Nowadays, there is no cost switching between factions, so no redundancy needed if you want to build smith level. You'll just have to switch to the faction in whose castle you built the blacksmith to start a repair/enchant, and afterwards switch back and continue your activity.
To merlin's point, building smith/enchant guild requires a lot of gold. The amortization is over a very very long period of time and many many many repairs... You should think and ponder well if you want to build smith/enchant guild. |

The advantage is not having to switch between factions |

Ps: there was a timer which allowed only 1 faction change every 24 hrs |
For us wizards you also had to buy potion of oblivion |
Given that they have lifted so many obstacles in the old days, why don't the admins allow the multiple blacksmiths to work simultaneously to speed up blacksmith work? |
Yeah 24 hours to switch faction, 2,500 gold for the potion. Not sure when they got rid of it but it was terrible. |
