How to counter DD?

i have a hard time fighting darkness demon with mass confusion which pretty much counters all my buffs as a holy knight user, is there any ways i can counter him?
Pretty much no, even if you tried dispersion it's pretty likely he will just reapply and you have less mana than him

DD is the biggest counter to HK, imo. Everything you do, they do better (4x4 vs 5x5 area)

Things you can try:
1. Splitting wardens and leaving more than 4 cells between them
2. Dispersing spells after DD has used mana to apply them (mass confusion is 18 mana, so try to make him spend more than that since mass dispersion is 20 mana)
3. Disperse confusion/seduction right before wardens move.

Other things you can try not related to DD specifically:
1. You have very little anti built up to other factions. In CG, other factions are reducing the damage you apply to them by anywhere from 15-24% usually, but you reduce basically 0-6% depending on which faction you're facing
2. You are considered below average regarding your stats. You have less points than what is considered strong from the following guilds LG, AG, MG, and CG.
3. Lastly, you faced a pretty strong combo with DD and Rush DE, so chances were pretty slim. And your teammate was a hellfire RD, which isn't very strong at CL15, not to mention he didn't have an FSL potion, so he played with FSL8.

All of the odds were stacked against you in that match. Some people will say that DD is OP. My opinion is that you have to have a lot of stats to accompany it to make it winnable more than 50% of the time. DD has its counters just as HK is countered heavily buy Chaos users and dark magic.
the higher level you go the more op they get. necro is a decent psuedo counter with curse from archliches. but its hard to top 250-350 fiends junpjng across the field doing 4k damage to everything and anything and if they hit morale just accept your loss. hk gets absolutely shit on 17+ by dd when they get t7 upgrades because they can teleport wardens out of corner. If you watch 20+ matches and they are playing seriously you will see dd 70+% of the time as they are just too strong. mage de can beat them but it depends on fiends first leap damage and wether they hit morale or not.
firedwarf can beat dd but once again depends on fiends first leap damage and if they running the mass delay version its still 50/50 ish because 50% delay is just dumb. tribal is insta loss vs dd. same with pharoah. bw, once again dependent on fiends first leap but usually a loss as temptress is right before their sphyx and whirlwinding bw own units usually means they lose after fiends 1 tap genies. fury barb can but hard when temptress takes behemoths and just furocious wounds their boars etc. elf can shut them down but if you go crazy and shoot fiends and attack with dragons, temptress just takes dragons for 6 turns and if you kill temps then fiends 1 tap unicorns. shadow barb is quite strong vs them as cyclops just perma blind temptresses and they can weakness and disrupt dd down.

overall i think dd has no true counters. They absolutely shit on most matchups and the best you can do is 50/50 matchups that are rng dependent like classic knight, firedwarf mage dark elf, necro, Charmer if they get luck/blind/knocking shots.
Speaking about prior to 17+ where they get teleportation with T7 upgrade, they are countered by dominion of fire, curse, undead or units that are immune to control, chaos users that get lucky with fiends first leap, and tactical play
for holy knight, no solution, dd counters hk at every side, this may be the worst match in the game.
for other factions, there are lots of solutions, depend on the combat level and the build of dd.
from the experience of myself, as a dd at high level, the worst match is all kinds of magicians, especially magic de. other factions are all beatable with my build, depend on game playing and luck. suprisingly I lose a lot to pharaoh, I dont know whether it is a counter or I'm just suck.
however my experience may not represent the overall statistics, since my build and playing style may be a bit different with most dd players.
for most dd players with common style (lv 17+), I would suggest classic necro, shadow babarian, fire dwarf, white knight as its counter, as well as all magicians.
shadow barbarian is not very good if DD is a hybrid caster. Vermins are annoying to finish asap and mass confusion (which barb doesn't have) makes a huge difference. Barb is going to be reliant on mistakes from DD to have a shot. I think classic necro and fire dwarves are best counter.

Battlewiz is awful in a 1v1 situation cuz sphynx tend to go right after temptress and you all know how that goes.
