Rules for Lending Gold

AuthorRules for Lending Gold
My suggestion would be to clarify whether or not loans can be enforced and what the risk of lending to other players is in the About The Game - General Rules section, perhaps as an addendum to rule 3.14.

This is mainly to make the risks transparent to players who never lended gold to other players before, since learning from experience in this case means a(potentially) initial significant loss of gold for essentially no reason.

As it stands now, a player can use the game as a gambling website, request gifts and loans, roulette for a couple days and then request a block and off they go. Yes, this did happen to me recently, but I doubt I m the only one this has happened to and I think it s not an intended feature of LordsWM. Could be solved with more transparency. :)
3.17. The Administration does not take responsibility for the unreturned debts and does not guarantee compensation in case of swindling by other players; as well as in case if the debtor has been blocked. When a loan is not returned in time, (the time must be written in the transfer logs, no more than a month) the swindler will be imposed a penalty of a sum twice as much. If the term isn't posted in the transfer logs, the penalty will occur 1 month after the loan transaction. The creditor does not get compensation.

Does that not add clarity?
It does, what I was suggesting is to merge the rules for lending with the risks for lending, make them appear in succession, have them be on screen simultaneously, since it is most likely and most often the case that abusive behavior happens in respect to loans. Having the complete rules for loans be located in separate places in the General Rules sections I think serves the interests of the people who would attempt swindling, nobody else would gain from the confusion
Maybe I was not clear. My suggestion was to move rule 3.17 to rule 3.14.1 or something similar instead of having it be after the Staged Combats section, which has nothing to do with either 3.14 nor 3.17, so people like me might not expect relevant rules to lending to appear there.
Reading the game rules is like reading the Terms and Conditions when installing a software - nobody does that. Instead, why not have a summarised version of transferring gold/resources/elements rules in the transfers page since the page itself is pretty empty? Kind of like those "Beware of scammers" messages in online banking lol

If you wouldn't give money to a stranger in real life, why would you do it in a game? I get that it is just a virtual currency but still, no reason to respond to any cold messages from strangers
That would absolutely also work! Even having the rule itself displayed to the right of the transfer screen would probably work. And I did actually read the rules before lending, up to right before 3.16(so all about lending, donation and fees for in-game services) since I thought nothing relevant to my issue comes after that. That is where I got my idea for the suggestion, but having rule 3.17 appear at the transfer screen is definitely a better approach.

I mean sure, and as a result I am eating the penalty of having lost that money, I was just under the impression that loans can be enforced, I was not aware of running the risk. Kind of how investments are made irl with the contract for the loan(in this game the agreement in pms and transfer description) being enforceable. Kind of weird that the game allows people to get away with this and not provide compensation but a warning at the transfer screen could definitely help.
I agree with more warning on lending gold.
System could be greatly improved.
+1 No harm in adding a warning in Transfer page
Rule #1 for lending gold: Don't lend.
Rule #2 for lending gold: Assume it won't be returned. (Also decent advice in real life.)
