nothing amazing about luck based factions hitting luck and winning.
i have dozens of classic dwarf games where i 3x speed rune, hit luck and insta win games(auto button appears after my first turn moves) |

meh to each his own. If you find these fights fun, I'm sure some others would too.
My criteria for good fights is ones that end with "gg" rather than "ez".
And I think a forum like this is more meaningful if you describe in a few lines your strategy that allowed you to win, so there is something to learn from. Having more AP than the opponent is not strategy. |

This was personal for me as this guy used to insult me and try to provoke others in CG all the time. He will provoke others and then report them on russian forums.
Although I didn't get my luck triggers at start, and my ogres didnt hit for max, still manage to win this with some morale luck at the end.

TDE vs Dwarf.
I think the trick is to create space around your liz at the start and defend with them. Force him to waste effort to block the liz, attack it at 100 defense and or stay away to avoid attacks.
Meanwhile, minos in an edge or corner need to exchange with ursary. This is easy because ursary will want to avoid being hit by spiders and hence move to opposing edge from where you summon.
Once patriarchs are blocked and spearmen out of shots, you can keep summoning spiders to exchange them both.
I got lucky with positioning though. Not facing hazardous retribution strikes is nice.

TDE vs Holy Knight
Kinda chaotic fight, both made mistakes.
The way to win I think is to get a clear liz strike on clerics. Maybe twice.
Idk, confusing fight. If you stay close, enemy will teleport crossbows and cause harm, but he'll also burn mana. If he has no mana, it's easy defend+summon win.
Else you let him burn through 9 shots, but he'll also stop shooting at some point ... So you could summon beholders and play a shooting game. But he'll win the shooting game.
I think one way is to stick to corner and defend and let him waste his casts / shots. If he has mana spare and wants to wait it out, then you summon beholders to force him to buff again. Rinse and repeat. |
I totally owned him on this one. My tactical nuance was gifted right from the get go. Had to work hard not to trash talk him to be honest

Maybe missed it, but why didn't you cast confuse on shooter if worried about it? |
Paladins.
Maybe I could have saved mana for after paladins died, but in-game I really underestimated the danger that the crossbows posed. And he has the ability to wipe out confusion anytime with a dispersion if it really comes to it. |
