watchers guild difficulty

Authorwatchers guild difficulty
Is it safe to assume that fights that give less gold are easier to win? Is there a source of information about how fight difficulty is managed in watchers guild. It seems to me that first fight after the defeat is easier to win but my sample size is small.
It's more about random. Money does not indicate the difficulty. And the higher your WG level - the higher chance to get a hard task. But still, it's more about random, I suppose.
certain wg quests can be super hard for some factions but easy for others. once you reach a point where you have a few castles built and know the matchups pretty much all wg quests are easy. on my level any "pvp" wg quests are just easily beaten by unholy necro for 3*, pirate quests are hard for most factions but are a breeze as shooter battlewise wizard, boss of and hunts are hard for a lot but easy as buffer holy knight and just protect wardens.

other then these i usually avoid any of the magi arcanums elemental rifts or umbrae caves/forest ones.
Adding onto slayer's great advice:

Max demilich UN for castle is also very easy (when you get them at CL13).

Tactics UN for brigands.

Elf is also great for "boss of" battles and hunts if there aren't too many shooters/chaos casters.

In general UN except for pirate IMO lol.
Also the smuggler quests are easier than a normal thief battle so I always go for those.

its just finding whats strong for each on givin levels. this is some examples vs elf
At lvl 12 all I play is castle attack with DD (mass decay), except for Wizard opponent, which usually beats me. Thank you for excellent expert advice. I'll try some more options now. But I guess it's still about exploring what works best for a certain level. Being a casual player, right now I only have Demon and Necro factions fully unlocked. I regret that there isn't a page with all the information about different builds, levels and opponents. Watchers guild is very intriguing.
If I recall correctly originally all WG battles were repeat armies from successful battles from events. The idea being that all battles were definitely winnable, since they had already been won. Of course the difficulty to us doing them again depends upon our skills, stats and build relative to the person who orignally won it.

If you happen to get one that had originally been won by a stat monster with all armaments equipped who had a lucky set of procs on morale or luck, then they can be extremely difficult. Equally if you get one from someone with lower than average stats and fought it with min allowed AP then you will probably find it easy.

Of course in practice you will never know for sure which you have, though can infer from how hard it is.

Equally some battles will be easier for you due to greater info. Take the elemental rift and varieties on that theme. I believe this was from when you had a treasure vault, but you did not know which enemy you would face, so had to have a build that would work for all. In a WG battle you know which one you will have, so can choose a build or faction that is well suited to that sort, and you should find that you can beat it easily enough.

The reverse is the case for hunt types, where originally the opponent would know exactly how many of each you would face, whereas in WG you do not (until you have fought it once). These can range from very easy to very hard by consequence.

There is also a bit of a learning curve with builds for each battle type. Originally the battle would have been won by someone that will have in a short space of time done a lot of battles of that type, and refined their build and tactics. When you first drop in and do one you are unlikely to be as refined at first to how to win that ype optimally. Of course over time you can work out what works best.

Finally some factions did not exist when the events were originally done, so have been generated differently , so newer factions I would expect to be slightly easier. Also some factions are less good on certain events, and so are likely not to have been done by the "best" players stat wise. Their victories by consequence are perhaps easier to emulate that others. This conversely means that sometimes a faction that is not a natural counter to that battle is a good choice, as you are likely on average to get an easier battle.
Can somebody post an example fight of shooter battlewise wizard vs. Pirate? Please.
for diversecity:
what is the reason to not use the ghost for the chamrer elf fight?
