Combat fatigue

Close to the end of battle a message poped up saying Combat fatigue starts in 2 rounds or sth and just b4 my final blow it said again Combat fatigue starts or sth

Is it a new feature for doing too long of a battle that I missed or just recently implemented?

From the event description:

Extremely Important! During this event, the "Battle Exhaustion" system is in effect. Starting from the 15th turn of any battle, the abilities "Life Drain" and "Battledive" will cease to function for units in the Lords' and Ladies' armies, and all enemy units will gain the ability "Attentive", Ignore defense 50%, increase in initiative and speed. Notifications corresponding to this exhaustion will appear as a warning 1 turn before and at the onset of exhaustion.
Give them redbull, additional benefit of getting flying ability

Thanks for all the replies, I should have read the event description.
i do not understand this kind of changes. If someone has fun to fight 4 hours to defeat 20k zombies with 1 shrew...who cares? He has earned the victory. But it is the same in all last event, make life harder in a unnecessary way.
Because it means everyone else who wants to do well in the event also has to fight four hours to defeat 20k zombies with one shrew.
No problem with this kind of change.

If I recall the same happened with survival tournament. It became laborious to play because the winners were spending 2 or 3 hours per fight managing the ATB to perfection. Ok there is definitely some skill in that and doing it well is difficult but it made the fights so boring. Knowing you had no chance at gold unless you wasted hours on every fight made people forgo playing. They made the waves harder and introduced the lightning tower to kill you.

I agree. Nothing is supposed to be extremely fair, if a player spends a lot of their time perfecting their strategy to do better than everyone else, then they should be allowed to perform better than everyone else. The same logic applies to every aspect of life, the more time you spend, the better you prepare, the more you deserve the prize and the more likely you are to achieve it.

As some motivational guy somewhere said it, the game isn't won when it's being played, the game is won when you are preparing and perfecting yourself the whole time before the game.
While there is credit to the argument of rewarding those that try hard, prepare and have good skill it's validity in saying there should be no change is redundant. With or without the change those people will still be rewarded for their efforts and will still be expected to achieve significantly. The change simply means they have to spend less time doing it as some defensively orientated approaches are not valid now. I cannot see how this is not a good change. Units with those abilities are still usable just not in a defensive build.
Not sure why people are talking as if only a strategic genius can figure out how to pick a high ini, high speed and no retaliation troop to kite and grind out the enemies. Sure, it takes some level of skill but at some point, everything is pretty robotic and straightforward, with the only limiter being time. And no, no one has fun to fight 4 hours to defeat 20k zombies with 1 shrew, which is why in hunts, there is a similar system in effect.

Besides, what's the point of having events with the same rules and parameters every single time. The events themselves are already duplicated all the time, imagine having to play the same events with the same strategy and troops all the time.

Truly good players would be able to adapt and figure out different strategies, picking out good troop composition by looking at creature power and upgrade costs after taking into account whatever new system is implemented, and understanding which enemies are easier to beat.

I am sure that there are better ways to make the event challenging. This change is not challenging, it's only limiting.

Make a change (like the Halloween event) that the player can choose the skills of the troops, or distribute attributes. Even better, combine logic of different events, each time with random events mechanics combined.
Or even make an event with a specific choice of troops for each level, where you can maybe choose up to 7 out of 12 troops, and each level is CL independant, and everyone has the same challenge, and then see who is the better player because that requires only strategy and skill.

Like I said, make it challenging, not limiting.

Removing a tactic which is known and requiring other paths to be the best, provides challenge. Once more I feel your own argument is for the opposite point to what you intend.
In that case, the first problem lies in the fact that I cannot seem to find the explanation of what the 'Attentive' ability is and does anywhere, neither in the event description, nor in the skills list.

The second problem lies in the fact that, if every time this event is launched there are put some limits without introducing some possibilities, after a certain point there will no longer be any new strategy available to come up with.
