Never know gamer can be dedicated |
The surprising part is that the game's still being improved, albeit slowly |
for Another Player:
game could be 100x better if admins actually cared. such potential but it is wasted. |
such potential
Are we talking about the same game |
This anniversary announcement took me by surprise, totally forgot about it.
They did a fabulous job making it this far. Not to say everything is perfect but the game clearly had the elements we love that allowed it to keep going so long. |
Is the repair cost of the art sufficiently low, when considering high durability, to make it a reasonable option for a military clan to use for surv battles with D10? Since it has scaling stats it can be used by all levels approx equally |
Why I remember that every anniversary they do castle discounts? |

Happy Anniversary! |

What is stopping u from playing this game? |
It's completely understandable that you’ve become attached to LordsWM after 18 years of play. There are several factors that can contribute to why it’s hard to quit, especially in games like this. Here are a few possible reasons:
Habit and Routine: After so many years, playing the game has likely become part of your daily or weekly routine. The longer we do something, the more ingrained it becomes in our lives, making it harder to break free from.
Progress and Investment: You've probably invested a lot of time and effort into your character’s development, building up skills, resources, and achievements. Games like LordsWM are designed to reward players for time spent, and that sense of progression can make quitting feel like losing all that effort.
Social Connections: If you've built friendships or a community within the game, leaving could feel like you're disconnecting from a social circle. This social bond can make the idea of quitting more difficult, especially if the game has been a way for you to stay in touch with others.
Dopamine and Reward Systems: Games are often designed to trigger the release of dopamine, the "feel-good" chemical in the brain. Every time you level up, win a battle, or complete a task, your brain gets a little hit of dopamine, reinforcing the desire to keep playing for that feeling of accomplishment.
Escapism: Games can offer an escape from real-life stress or challenges. If you’ve been using the game as a way to cope with other aspects of your life, it may become even harder to stop, since it provides a temporary sense of control or relief.
Fear of Missing Out (FOMO): Especially with games that have ongoing events or seasonal updates, there’s often a fear of missing out on new content, special rewards, or unique challenges, which can keep you coming back even if you want to quit.
If you feel that your gaming habits are interfering with your well-being or other aspects of your life, you might want to consider setting limits on your playtime, gradually reducing the time you spend in the game, or finding other activities to replace it. It’s not easy, but acknowledging the reasons behind your attachment is a good first step. If you’d like advice on how to make that transition or talk more about your experience, feel free to share! |
