| Author | Please decouple classes from tournament rankings. |
| As in the title, having for example both Wizard and Battlemage share their survival tournament (and other) rankings is silly! I rest my case. Thank you. |
in both cases you all have equal chances as they share the same FSP
so if a sub-class is better in survival , then you may try it
I don't mind separating them but will it make that different? |
Ehhh... I can see an argument for keeping them together with the idea that you can try both to figure out which is better; but this also prevents competing in more factions since you'll have used tries to figure this out.
I think I am not used to needing to change factions so frequently |

I'd like to see people play Shadow Barb in ST lol. Would be fun, let's see if they find it better than classic barb |
Yes, it would be nice to be able to use any subfaction for tourneys rather than be forced to use the one that is plainly better.
Perhaps it would be easier just to update the difficulty multiplier to consider subfactions. |
I prefer keeping them together. Seeing how battlewise wizards and classic wizards play differently in tournaments is very eye-opening. Moreover, you learn a lot from other people's tactics.
On some tournaments, I scored better as a classic than battlewise, so it's not
necessarily the case that battlewise is always better.
On the other hand, splitting tournaments into sub-factions allows me to earn more, so I don't really object. |
| Yet another reason Pharaoh is the best faction. |

This is really the main thing that changes lol |
i would love if they split them all into sub factions and increased attempts and rewards. as it is now, there is clearly the best class for each faction in St. For instance charmer will never compete with classic elf because of summon phantom/crit.
classic barb and combat readiness is untouchable for fury etc. |
I think we should cap the number of attempts at 10. This would encourage players to take each attempt seriously—that is, use factions they have the best shot to compete.
Otherwise, the system would give players with more golds too much advantage, since they can use what they learn from many attempts in other factions to benefit their main ones. |
