as might DE CL 11 how to stand a chance in these battles?

don't say get DU, I still be killed when shrews are dead on turn 2
don't say switch to chaos, barb have high hp even if I use empowered spell. alt-elf simply lightning my troops when their troops firepower reduced.

so far I can win by review their combat log and make correct settlement like this
