Speaking as a necro - you took too long to beat him/her. The longer battles last the more a necro can raise dead. Instead of trying to use your poisoners to block shooters (you only need 1 to block), you should have stood on the dead bodies of necro troops to stop raise dead spell and used your minotaurs/lizard to hit the shooter. |

Going to test out magic DE for a little while in Quick Battles, hunts and MG.
At level 8, what troop setup should I have?
Should I still use shrews? Because in the build I have right now I've gone for max HP and defense and shrews aren't involved.
8 Hydra's, 33 mino's, 15 liz and 5 poisoners.
And, any tips on magic DE? |

For hunts and MG, might build is much better. In pvp battles I think you should use 2-3 rogues instead of poisoners (or maybe both). Their higher initiative make them very useful as blocking stacks or retal takers. |

You can change Talent Setups and your Parameters get automatically changed lol.
And to make Talent Setups first you gotta drink Potion of Oblivion, which is Free.
After you have all your Talent Setups it wont take moarr than 30 Seconds to change from Might to Magic, since you just gotta click the Talent Setup n change Recruiting.

You wanna play as Chaos DE in Min Ap or Full?
I find Chaos Casters in Min Ap PVPs are pretty weak unless you're playin' Battlewise Wiz.
And yes, maybe you can Try Element's Call + Chaos Talents, IDK how much Talent Points you have at your CL, so no idea.
I think Element's Call is a must for Chaos DEs, and Chaos Talents make your Spells scale off Spell Power better.

There isn't much point to taking mana recovery as a DE. It's also not logic to go for less mana when you actually pick sorcery, has that'll drain your mana faster (unless you played for 40 game turns at which point mana recovery got you the 4 missing KN).
I guess I'd go for advanced chaos and sorcery; advanced or basic+cheaper spell cost. You probably don't need too strong spells; that's covered with elemental call, but you certainly need casting speed against factions like elf that split their bows; especially if they have lots of druids too...
8 KN seems low; not sure about what is optimal for your level.
Take it with a grain of salt, never been mage DE... |
