Damn I just notices, Cyclop Shamans get Catalyst at 1k Tribal Spirit.
Now that could mean some real damage with the Meteorite Rain. See if you could use it somewhere.

P.S. I'm eyeing your combat log for the next whole week for sure. Lol.
Oops let me correct myself,
Catalyst starts at 500 Spirit itself. Just like Sky Shamans.

Also, both your battles gave a false impression that the DD had an upperhand at first, but then it was very interesting watch the tide turn!

Actually, i think its weakness is charmer. Magic and sharpshooters can be really tough to deal with.
Well I was going to take elf potion and try charmer in CG (full might). So may be able to report back.

Though not convinced charmer will be much of an issue.. given confusion.

If DD's actually used their faction ability and cast some darkness maybe different results..
I think charmer will be strong against this barb. As charmer my only issue was ogres, now that they are nerfed I think charmer will have a better chance.

infected strike in defense vs defense battles is just overwhelming.
overall i think this shadow bb is quite op, i will rather use a hybrid build like my dd build. those new ogre have no rage but faster than before, it is wise to rush into battle immediately than watching all other allied units dying before hitting anything like before.
p.s. the damage of earth rain of cyclops are considerable high, but you may never wait until their catalyst enable.
btw the dispersion of ogre is very weak, actually useless.
Guys, if someone like RR says Shadow Barb is OP, then it's definitely Broken. XD

I don't think its any more OP than the DD you are used to or even tribals with so many tools at their disposal.

True, infecting strike seems good but the hyenas are no where close to boars in damage output. The build has a niche with inherent weaknesses. Strong ranged is even more a serious concern now with less tankier units.
Dawn items and new ring are in facility's now.
For example in great wall there's no longer a steel mine but there's boots of dawn. At titans valley they have the new rings etc.
The one battle we have seen is from a defensive build versus another defensive build. In this scenario it is likely the inherent debuffing of the barb will win out over time 4 attack and defence dropping each turn is very significant if the hyenas last a long time.

That impact will be less significant and dominating if they are killed quicker. That build against a high attack low defence army will be interessting, they hyenas etc will do more damage, but also die quicker themselves.

As a BW one can likely dominate the combat since has higher speed troops and lots more ranged. With DoF should allow short work of most troops. This was true from before, except that in doing that you ended up with a huge stack of ogres with rather a lot of spirit from the rest of the army dieing - they would then be very hard to deal with. With this new setup, I would not anticipate any less difficulty clearing out the other troops, but an easier job with the ogres at the end. Only time will tell how it fares, though clearly its going to be a defensive build that will grind at people, with the rings even more motivation to go for these sorts of build, which for me just make battles rather long and drawn out and consequently not so fun. Maybe some chaos magic may make a resurgence with the extra ini from magic arts

dd stand no chance against this shadow bb, at the same character strength. indeed dd have some better matches compare with this shadow bb, but right now this shadow bb must be one of the strongest faction overall.
