Suggestions for Recruiters

AuthorSuggestions for Recruiters
I would like to invite you to the clan, _______.

Pfff, clan _______ doesn't even exist!!
Maybe we should forward the offending mail to the clan leader with a complaint each time they do that.

That way, the leadership can do something about it, be it to tell the player off or to remove recruiter status. And if the leadership does not do anything, then you are free to boycott the clan and its members or something.

Like what most of us do to the telemarketers trying to get us to sign up for a new loan repayment scheme or a new Credit line or a new Telephone service, etc. Make a complaint and if it persists, boycott the company altogether.

Didn't think I needed to call them out by name.( I do that sort of thing on my profile page as you well know) Pfft is the proper way to dismiss something.

A lot of irrational hopes in your reply Takesister... ;)

First, in the clan we speak of, recruiters is a bunch of brats in a recruiting frenzy. They have no centralized management of people they contacted, and why would they even bother maintaining one considering it's more work and can only decrease their recruitment bonus?

Second, should the clan leader be notified, I wonder what kind of "punishment" he could deal to the offending recruiter since it's just through randomness that he contacted the player second (or tenth!) and not first. And I guess few people ever complain. I've been contacted four times in weeks - why bother?

We have to live with this spamming, that's all. People like Modi will complain that this is no better than real world, which is true, but it is unlikely to stop for a simple reason: this approach of recruitment is hugely successful!

Remember this, guys and gals. You may not like it, but since it works, it's VERY unlikely to stop.

People like Modi also turn down these spammers as do many other higher level players so unless you are seeking bottom dwellers then the success you tout is debatable for the betterment of a clan. One can assume that a clan would take one 12th level player over 10 3rd level players unless the goal is to stuff your clan bank. Quality over quanity is always the better way to go. Know what I'm saying Kotrin?
I don't consider new players as bad players, as your reply implies. Even you were level 3 or 5 at a point in time. Everybody is for quality, but quality and quantity aren't necessarily exclusive. #181 Elite Warriors clan is a great example. And then, there's what you consider "quality" in the first place. Seems it's being high level to you. I beg to differ.

Yes indeed I was 3rd level and I was a nooby. Many players stall before achieving higher rank so it is a crap shoot compared to a high level active player. You can beg to differ all you want. I was never and will never be a "yes sir master Kotrin" kind of guy. That probably disqualifies me for your version of quality but we both know I don't care a lick. I was there, wasn't impressed and left on my own. To each his own as they say.
