After all it's really a nice collection of numbers, interesting to read. You did good work with collecting these, Ryric. But your conclusions are in some parts very misleading and based on wrong interpretations of the numbers.

EW and LoS are clans who evict players after some time of inactivity. WGW doesn't.

So can we agree both WGW and EW have had "unethical" actions (EW staging 2nd blindfold tourney, WGW recruiting other MC members and not even informing own members about it) and move on?
They are not considered illegal acts and nothing will be done anyway. And people not liking those acts can simply avoid joining these clans :P |

hm - I don't see here any analysis.
You just divide nr.wins/nr.members and sum bosses by clan.
The analysis is the thoughts and opinions offered by myself in light of those numbers. You can contribute to that analysis by offering your thoughts.
And where is the leader who killed the most bosses?
Sadly, I don't have that info - I was not willing to check all 666 battles for the dead bosses and write down all 2,000ish names and count them. If anyone wants to claim the title, they can have it. I know you and Kusika killed three at least, since I did see those battles, and I know some in EW were in several boss kills, but I don't have totals.

Nutella, it is any clans choice whether to evict or retain inactives. However, since they have the tag, they are clan members - ones who don't contribute. You suggest that I just present numbers, not rates, yet those numbers are mostly available already. If I said WGW had XXX wins, everyone would simply post that I should never have bothered.
In the paragraph "A few thoughts on individual MCs" you don't find any respective word for the winning clan of this event, but tread your own clan as it should be the winner, but it's shear power wasn't benefited by game mechanics. One could read out of it, that WGW won through bad tricks and was favoured by game mechanics. Mate, many of us worked their butt off to win this event, believe me. If winning such a event deserves respect, then it would be appreciated. ;)

While this Analysis is less blatantly biased than the previous one, though there are still a few obscure barbs sticking out from the narrative. Mostly, Nutella has addressed the most obvious ones.
I wasn't even aware of the fact that some EW members defected to our clan during the Demon War until I read about it in the forums.
What I can't understand is why WGW is getting all the flack for this episode when the EW members that defected to WGW are equally responsible.

As for the bias of the analysis, allow me to offer the several people to create a useful analysis of the Demon event themselves. I'll share my survey results, etc. and my work, and allow you to create an analysis that is useful and unbiased.

Yes, I nearly forgot about them. We were around 240 members back then, so I evicted those inactives. I could evict many more, I guess there's still a big difference in handling inactives.
Oh, and btw: This was really no try to flame EW. Maybe I have to write this, because there's always someone who sees it this way. :) |
I'm sorry, but isn't this just a big waste of time? The lower your level the shorter the fights and therefore the more fights you can make.
On top of that it is cheaper and easier for the low levels.
As long as this is so much flawed there is really no point in looking at it. |

I do think Ryric is allowed to put some analysis of the numbers and the event. Not everyone will know of the mercenary actions of some players and clans. The headhunting and clan jumping, etc.
If you don't like it, get over it. State why you think it's wrong, state where his analysis is wrong and have a brad debate. Don't just whine that he shouldn't have posted.
I have a suspicion that Guardians of Russia did some heavy recruiting, potentially using contacts on .ru, as they really charged home fast, for example. I have no proof, but hey, I can put it out there. |
