Bro if I rushed with fire birds only thing that happens is my birds die quick and they get to my shooters fast do u not understand? Because I moved birds there, the harpies hit the birds and went back to where they were
Otherwise they move front and have access to attack shooters next turn

I guess my point is (and I cannot evaluate fully since I cannot be bothered to run the numbers). I think the liklihood is that if you hit a stack, you would do enough damage that it would still require two further hits to kill them, and thus delay the movement forward of the harpies by the same amount.
The worse case scenario is that they did not kill enough and so retaliation damage means that they only draw the focus of one harpy stack.
Given AI prioritisation, it is likely they would focus the firebirds anyway over the ogres due to their inherent preferences.
I cannot say for sure.
The point remains,
a) Their are (debatable I am sure) choices you could have made within the battle which would have reduced the narrowness of the victory
b)you could have worn better arts which would have helped
c)you still won it and therefore cannot claim it to be unwinnable. Hard, sure. Very difficult, I agree. Not possible to win. No. |

you do know how fury barb racial works right? after you gain spirit you have 22% damage reduction. you gain spirit by attacking shit in melle, so not attacking with birds not only doesnt kill anything, it doesnt generate spirit to reduce incoming damage.
for instance if you had advanced or expert defence, sun armors for another 20% damage reduction, proper defence stats from rings of cold and damage reduction from spirit your birds can take hits from ALL enemy harpies and still be alive giving your ahooters plenty of time to pick them off while behes run forward. |

| As expected, the threat is moot. I do not have harpies as an enemy on level 18 (or any other) while with fury barb. |

If something is going to get one shot, and you cannot avoid it getting hit, you may as well kill something first.
Ie chargers move up front, killed a small stack, and delayed the far right stack.
My angels I moved defensively to move out of range of the largest threat 2700, and also delay the forward movement of another larger harpy stack, since they would hit it and return to a position out of range of my shooters.
Unfortunately I had hoped my angels could take two hits to be more effective, and so attacking with them could have been better as well, however I knew I had the rest sorted, so was more conservative with that move.
It is this principle with which I would suggest a more aggressive move with the firebirds would have been better |
