Author | The Silent Changes to Survival Tournament: Experiment or Permanent? |
I have been playing STs since 10+ years, not playing, winning.
Still a noob, lmao. | have been playing STs since 10+ years, not playing, winning.
I won by not playing them. Waste of time | What you says makes no sense.
Its quite clear you're a casual ST player, and neither you have any experience in playing it. Just 6 medals with single faction.
And im assuming this has been your main chracter since always, which is not my case. I have been playing STs since 10+ years, not playing, winning.
Anyways lets leave that aside. You might have different perspective, and so do I, so lets just leave that to it. :)
All i'm getting is wah wah i am a ST pro.. so I make sense. And you make no sense but i don't wanna fight so i will admit you have a different perspective!!
So Pro at making sense. Not! | I have looked at the rewards, gold only. The HG are gone... | On the contrary, the participation rate increased alot.
Hopefully it will stay like that and lots of people earn good amount of HG. | people earn good amount of HG
No HG reward anymore | You get HG points for a win, irrespective of whether that win is at the top when all the scores are totalled.
Eg this person came 72nd for Wizard at level 18, though still got 0.5HG for the win
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=1055250014 | To me the bit that I find frustrating with ST is that if you want to do well, you have to have learned the waves in advance, then spend time jiggling around your troops for each wave. I just don;t find that interesting, and by consequence am not interested in ever trying to compete in this. PArticularly when the tactic becomes holding off on getting recruits to get a better score at the end. I also note that the wizard racial ability works. https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?warid=1055250014
That being said, giving everyone a guild based reward is nice, and it is shorter and less frustrating. And not everyone is the same as me, some people like that planning of when and where to move troops, so I am happy for them.
Seemingly it also looks like a pretty good way of grinding some anti-faction. The flip to this is perhaps it just increases the gap between people who like to grind guilds to boost their character, versus those who just play what they want to play, but hey ho.
At least this and a few other avenues means that HG guild progression is possible for all over a sufficient time period, whereas previously it just stagnates past HG9 unless you invest a lot in arts or get to a sufficiently high CL. | @Lord Milesteg: I meant HG points as a reward for the top three places. |
