Many people starting or joining to battle, and do nothing.
This dramaticaly decrease chance to win battle.
Olso it waste artificats other players (decrease durability).
Why must I lose arts, becouse someone afk?
Why I must wait 15 min. to next battle?

In my opinion -2 to luck is not enought punishment.

i second that.. its very true that losing the durability of an item jus becuz some noob is afk during the battle is irritating.. a more severe ban must be given out.. more like -2 luck -2 attk -2 def for the next 5 battles (irrespective of the time duration)
100% agree, punishment for afk from battle is nowhere near good enough.
So,if you have bad internet, you must be punished? -2 luck is enough for punishment
Use the local libaries then.
Punishment must be seriously increased or some technical features used by developers.
If you have bad internet, you wont be kick because you must miss 5 turns. im sure your internet allows you to at least move 1 of those turns. Most of the leavers are frequent leavers not due to internet problems but mostly because of lost of hope to win
when you say bad connetion do you mean complete disconnection or laggy?

If laggy then u wouldn't be kicked.

If complete disconnection I would agree it's unfair to mete out heavier punishment for players. There are many countries which internet is not yet an everyday bread. So a simple feature. Ping the user, if it's disconnect , the game should let them off with a lighter punishment( to deter ppl from purposely disconnecting from a losing battle ). If ping shows good and moving connection, player should get heavier punishment, i agree.

Although I honestly believe there's a better solution. Sometimes, ppl wait forever for a battle to start and things get in the way. Maybe the game should make a compulsory sound or something when the game starts or when it's your turn. THer'es an option now that alows you to turn it on. However, most players do'nt turn it on. It should be a compulsory thing! If player continue to idle for more than 1 turn, a more annoying sound should be force to be played. I see a lot of annoying flash advertisement plays noisy sound all the time. These features should be put to good use.

a more severe ban please. it gets annoying when someone goes afk rite till the end of the battle especially when u are helping them on a hunt.

its not mere 15 mins, its longer than that. 15 mins for regen, 4 mins for the game to start, 2 mins per turn which all adds up to around 25-30 mins.

While it's clear there's no one simple solution, I think developing a list of known afk-ers would be a good step. Players who are known to have bad internet connection separate from players who simply leave for whatever other reason. Some sort of demerit system could then be developed for chronic afk-ers.

I think that if a player don’t move in a given time period then computer should make that move for him (shooters should shoot random enemy target, other units should attack any random enemy they can reach and if they cant reach them then they should move towards them).
Player still should be able to get back to take control of his units unless if he skips 5 turns and in this case he should be permanently kicked from that combat and he should be punished (no experience, no faction skill points, no hunt points (if it was hunting) and temporary -2 luck).
not that much sometimes not your fault like someone closing the screen usb fell out or others just tiny bit more of punishment like -3 luck -2 durabilty for every item including non equiped and not alound to use castle effect for an extra 2 hours far enough?
Okay, how about this: A small colored mark could be placed next to each combat where a player went afk. This would be permanently visible in the combat log. This way, if a player is suspected of being a chronic abuser, other players will be able to better ascertain whether they were leaving the combat because they were losing, or if it was some sort of technical/real-life issue. By looking at a player's combat log, one could see if the player had a history of leaving combats they were losing. By having the mark, it might also deter players from leaving because then they would know that there would be a permanent record of it.
unfortunately that will not work as you cannot control who joins a group battle.

i think someone already posted this but the best punishment would be to hit them where it hurst, their gold. 1k gold penalty for each AFK
I agree with Robai's idea : I think that if a player don’t move in a given time period then computer should make that move for him.

But I think the computer should play at full it's AI ability.
When the battle off, the heroes that afk will not receive any exp point, in fact I suggest that that heroes get minus exp point.
The other punishment that can be applied is that heroes will be banned from battle arena for the next 24 hours.

then everyone goes afk

thats what everyone wants, minus experience !!

you should give them minus skill points !!
or maybe
if you go more then 5 times afk in a week
or 2 times a day
you get a ban for a day?
