Introduce escrow for hunt assistance |
escrow? |
Would you mind commenting on how exactly do you see escrows be brought to functioning in this game? |
After a player click on "ask for assistance" would pop a window "how much will you pay for assistance?". A player enter a sum. This sum is deposited from his account. In the battles room in the description column there are sums for assistance. When a battle ends the sum is given to an assistant if last one don't go afk. |
Your idea is very good as one that states "Assistants should by all means get paid".
However, until now the policy of this game has been "It is up to the main hunter whether to pay or not".
If this policy changes, I believe, your suggestion is the best way to introduce assistance rewards. Thank you. |
It is still up to the main hunter, but he must decide it before a battle. |
Indeed, as ConanBarbarian says, it still wouldn't be obligatory for the assistant to get paid, the sum could be zero. The only change is that the assistants would know in advance if by helping they will get anything or not. In an ideal world that would be a great idea, but in the world we live in I see 2 problems.
1. This would actually force hunters to pay for assistance, since very few would actually enter a hunt that doesn't pay if they know it in advance. What's more hunts could become increasingly expensive and even produce money loss instead of gain for the hunter.
2. What if the assistant doesn't deserve to be paid? What if he just sits there watching the hunter get slaughtered and then just finish off the remaining stacks? That way he has no loss of army and money and has taken money he never earned.
As I see it, assisting in a hunt has nothing to do with money. It's all about role playing, gaining fighting experience (real, not in game xp) and helping a fellow player. A feature that might make it easier to pass by difficult hunts rather than ask for assistance would greatly diminish that in my opinion. |
The question is whether the payment for hunt assistance must be salary or donation. Now it exists like donation. But many players disagree. They write in theirs profiles how much they will pay, how much they want to receive and even black-list who don't pay. Don't know if there is any good from that information.

Don't think so.
"What if the assistant doesn't deserve to be paid? What if he just sits there watching the hunter get slaughtered and then just finish off the remaining stacks?"
It must be a really bad and patient guy. Besides it could be introduced additional conditions of getting payment such as how much an assistant killed. |
omg help others and receive help.. its that easy |
