AuthorConsolation For Necromancers
I was thinking that it would be fairer if necromancers had the capability to revive dead units without having a -20% health penalty to the revived units . After all , it would only be fair to necromancers since other factions have the 'last breath' talent . Perhaps it should be made as a talent , after dominion of life , called simply 'Full-Health Revive'. But then again , it could as well be made default , available to all necromancers .

Other than that , I think that necros too deserve a luck-related talent and have their necromancy skill increased to 100% instead of 5% like in the talent wheel . This is based on the fact that elves get a maximum +3 luck with talents even though their original castle skill granted only +1 .

The luck talent is quite important , for we necromancers do not have attack-related talents and we'll be stuck there doing low attack as the cost of defence in the talent wheel is quite expensive , at 11 a talent .

You guys can buy rings which give you luck and - morale which you are not affected with. You would be seriously overpowered if your unit hp woudnt drop.
Rings must be bought with gold acquired by working . Talents , on the other hand , come automatically at every level .

rings are expensive..talents are expensive, and rings grant only a measly 12 durability rating, where talents will be permanent and not cost anything apart from the initial points.. and why are necros talents so expensive..
if we choose one route on the talent wheel we need to be like lvl 15 till we learn what we really want to learn.. i'm learning basic defence, but i really want to learn a different talent in that segment, but it's gonna take me a fair few lvls to do this, and by that time all other factions will have learnt more talents and be more powerful and i don't know if the talent i'm wanting to learn will be that usefull by then...
message to admins.....stop discriminating against necros.. have you had a bad life experience with us? or something? :)
guys relax. necromancers are rather strong and they start to cry that they are weak.nonsense.... just try to count how much points this "last breath" cost and you`ll understand that it`s unconvinient to choose it as a perk.
and 3 luck without any "-" is a very big plus to a faction. in the end, if you dont like this thing in necros, you can change your faction at any time :)
-20% isn't harsh at all. After all, living creatures are raised with -40%hp and the rest of the army gets -2 morale when that happens.

Last breath is useless, imho, and if you think rings are expensive - go chat with wisards about miniarts =)

Do you even understand the talent "Last Breath"

1. It takes 47 skill points to even think about getting this useless talent.
2. Here is the description for what you apparently feel is an overpwered talent

"Last Breath"
Cost: 7
Description:
If a stack is dealth enough damage to be destroyed, 1 creature will survive with 1 HP left. This talent has no effect if there was only 1 creature in that stack before the attack on it.

That's it

You get 1 creature with 1 HP

Maybe, just maybe if you were left with 1 creature with full HP it would be somewhat worthwhile. But in it's current state it is pretty much useless.

Rings are only expensive in the fact they have such low durability.

Durability for all Jewlery should be increased, alot.

When your fighting it's not your jewlery taking damage, it's your armor and your weapons.
to be fair all talent point costs should be decresed. e.g:

most outer ring 5tp increasing by 1tp as the skills get more advanced e.g. basic defence 5tp advanced defence 6tp ....
2nd most outer 8tp
2nd most inner 8tp
most inner 10tp

and u should get tp for char lvls worked out on a different formula e.g. 3*(character lvl-3). so for example a elf with combat lvl 5 and char lvl 6 would have 19 skill points.

necros are overpowered already, i can barely hit ghosts half the time, and the other half, if there aren't enough troops to step on dead necro units, the necro will probably win.
thats not true for most people , most have strong units with high health e.g. minotors to step on the units.

also for necros defence talents should be reduced to something like 7-9 because its there secondars main skill and its too expensive for most people to get so there is no point in getting it , every other race (that is races that do get defence)gets it at 8-9 points so why not them?
I am with you on that one orange1095 . I also think that either we necromancers have the price lowered for defence-related talents or have discounts like -3 or -2 talent points for othe talents on the necromancer talent wheel
orange, sure, but if you take the combat away from that stack of dead thingies were a high power critter is standing on, you effectifly have takenh out a stack of powerfull critters with a couple of corpses
Mirz , those powerful critters are still in the battle , and since powerful critters usually step on powerful undead , I'm sure the battle will develop into a hero fight , and the side with the strongest hero and highest hitpoints usually win . That is not a realistic tactic of how a battle will develop .
U guys are funny necros are a little overpowered. Since they can manage to get huge amount of skeletal bowmen which can take out many of the ranged units.
def , skeletal bowmen need to be collected or bought , we can't revive if the square is occupied , and reviving is not a privilege entitled only to necromancers as I've heard quite often on the forum other factions can revive too on upper levels , even though they will suffer a greater penalty .

Even so , I think at least reviving should only be available to necromancers.
how about this...we make necro just as all the other classes and take away ur revive completely and we take away ur skeleton archers and have only a fix amount of range units just like the rest of us. - moral WILL AFFECT U and u can have ur way with the talent pool..

Nope , that will only exacerbate the problem further .

herbs916 , reviving is what makes a necromancer , a REVIVER of the the DEAD .
That is why we gave away our morale bonus for .

Therefore , we should be equal to others in other aspects which includes the same talent points for defence in the wheel , and no , I do not think that it is fair if other factions can revive too .

Furthermore , having skeletons are the perks of being a necro . It is not like we can bring the whole lot of reserves with us . I f I could , I can bring 352 with me right now . And it is not like they are strong . Here let me refresh your memory as to which faction is overpowered :

-Knight archer , 7hp , 2-4 damage , volley
-Skeletal bowmen , 4hp , 1-2 damage , nothing special
-Elven Bowmen , 10hp , 4-7 damage , double shot

I think the damage dealt by elven bowmen or their arrow capacity should be reduced by 50 % so that it would be fairer to all .

Also , druids , which are old men dressed in rags with their torso exposed have 34hp , while vampires which are dressed to kill have 30hp and the fancily-dressed magi only have a mere 18hp . Tell me , is this fair ?
ah but vamps have no retailation and drain life! druids just have two spells they can cast
aswell as you can get 7vamps to the 6 druids
now you tell me is THAT fair?

and i do see the point in every1 arguement about skeletons and revive thing but if you take away the 40%less life then it will stop u from careful choosing who to revive as then ud just constantly revive vamsp and ghost with no penatly rather than giving up wen there lifes too low and bringing some1 else into game like zombs or skeletons
druids can cast lightning only twice. the best melee fighter of elf at lvl 5 is still that same melee you got when you were lvl 1. you cant raise. your range gets owned when the other guy shoots first.

These are the things people sometimes forget when they talk about elf.
