From the following racial skill table, my troops should get those additive bonus, but when I am of no arts, I see no change of those characters. Any one can help me?

Level Skill pts Bonus
1 20 +1 defense of troops
2 50 +1 attack of troops
3 90 +1% initiative of troops | | They do have all those bonuses in combat. You may Ctrl+Click any creature in combat to verify that. |
