elves r a great problem for me....
they do a great damage by elven bowmen + they have a great initiative.
if they had a less amount of it, I would kill them by my bowmen!
Administrator should think in decreasing their ini..
any suggestion to win from elves???? | i think elf is almost invincible after lv3.
i cant think of any faction could beat elf in deul,exept elf itself,just like necro is invincible under lv3.
maybe admin should consider to decrease elfbowmen's number to make them less overpower.
or maybe i'm not good at dealing with elf,if you can beat them with any other faction,pls teach me,thanks. | Elfs are not overpowered! They totally rely on their ranged units and on fav.enemy/luck. Of course they have the best ranged unit. But they have only keepers for melee. If you can kill the bowman elfs are weak, so barbarians are good against elfs, because of the orcs. and as a knight you have swordsman with a high defense against arrows.
@speedy dragon: if you try to kill an elf with your weak bowman you have no chance, i agree. You should try with maximum swordsman. | for speed_dragon:
shame on u, on 3-4 levels elves has little chance against knights, look at my battle logs, on levels 3-4 i lost only ones to elf

u wrong, elf are beateble as a necromanser, u only need to use tactic and brain | | im sick of people complaining about this. just switch 2 elf | for gott,elf do be weak if you can kill their ranged units,but how to kill?that's the point. i'm not very familiar with knight as i am a necro(although i think it's a long time before SWM can do any damage to elfbowmen in battlefield).
lets talk to necro..
when lv3-4,the main force in necro army is ghosts.yes they have 50% chance to miss and they are really fast,but what do necro have beside ghosts? only useless skel and slow zombies. that means elfbowmen can just focus on ghosts.with their double arrows,i dont think any ghosts could reach elfbowmen before die once.and most of time elf keepers have the chance to step on ghosts due to his high initia,even they can't get the chance,just seperate keepers into some 1 unit stack and try to waist the miss chance of ghosts,then do the deadly damage at the 3rd time by elfbowmen or keepers.
of course you can seprate ghosts into 3-4 stacks,but their damages are devided too.you can even ingore some of their atk.
when lv5,durid can kill ghosts easily,and elfbowmen deal with vamps.of course,if necro has large amount of skel archers,that'll be much better,but still a tough war with elf. | for ironfist..
i'm win most of matches played against elf on lvl 3,but on 4,when their troops increases,they r unstopable....
elven bowmen if r togethor deal damage around 40 and those also multiple time = enough to kill 12-15 bowmen...
admin should think to decrease their ini or damage or to give my bowmen that much ini, or hitpoints..

don't forget elf bowmen are higher tier of creature than bowmen~! I also can say bowmen are too powerful with the volley if you say elf bowmen are too powerful with double shoot~!That are their own ability, you can compare both of them together~!
so if you suggest decrease the elf bowmen initiative, so do we decrease the number of skeleton archers?Human are close combat type~!Elf are consider as range type.So if they slow + weak range units + weak melee combat, then what for has this kind of faction. | elves are not overpowered

it is easy on level 4 as it is on level 3, and i dont know how it is on level 5 but do not fink it is imposible to battle elf and win, if u to lazy to see logs i writte tactics: first of all take max swordsmen to battle, and remember every knight skill level is about +2 swordsmen, split bowment in grups by 4-5, as many groups as it posible, put swordsmen in the middle of fild so they could reach any hu would attack archers and thats all, start the battle, elf must take down your bowmen or will lose his, if hi didnt split bowmen hi is already in trubble becouse hi will need a lot of turns to take all the bowment stacks, and all u need just white whit swordsmen and kill elven bowmen whit yours bowmen and hero (dont forget kill sprite), dont cry for bowmen they do theyr work, first of all elven bowmen will lose arrows second for every dead stack swordsmen will get +1 attack, it is +6 if they left alone, if elf attacks bowmen whit keepers its his mistake becouse sworsmen will rich them and kill half of them whit one strike and then u will easely win, if keepers will attack swordsmen they will retaliate and elf will lose too, in any case do not send swrodsmen to kill bowmen, just stend and white vile they will be left whitout arrows, if enemies keepers already dead u even can take defensive stance to higher defence, this way only expirienced and very lucky elf will be able to defeat u. | http://www.heroeswm.com/warlog.php?warid=468615591 here is an exaple 2 necro vs 2 velves necros win very high ^^
i had lots of fights like this | | Elves are much stronger and have advantage after level 5. Before its pretty equal but the talents kinda evened it out. I know i could win against an elf on level 3 and 4 pretty easily unless he outwited me:) On level 5 u have a pretty hard time but its not impossible. look, if elf trigger more critical in time, even swordsmen with large shield is no match.
swordsmen with large shield is good, ONLY IF you can get near in time before he kill you :)

Basicly knight will be win in duel 1vs1.
elf can win If critical damage in the right stack and in the right time too.. elf win coz lucky not coz overpowered.. :p | | Yeah but luck is overpowered but not on level 4:) Level 5 fights are different I think it balances out on level 7 a little because knights will have much more troops and they will be seriously anoying with bowmen:) On level 8 I hope knights will be the strongest faction but thats only hope:) Cause of 54hp monks and crossbowmen. |
