Favoured + 2 luck as normal traits elves are pretty strong. Only necros arepretty much deadly against u guys since they have alot of ranged units now :)

And if you for example have 2 luck that means 1 in 5 chances u will get 2x more dmg. Favoured gives 10% chance. And now also imagine if u wear extra arts more defence and attack and +1 more luck that means 1 in 3 chance u will strike someone with luck.

Elves are powerfull no need to not admit it:) In group battles they may have problems since all players ussualy gang on them-
yeah right 2 luck and favoured is strong and elf hope got one of them in main stack not in dummy.. :p

and yeah in group battle mostly elven bowman die in 1st turn.. that so hurt for elf.. lol..

this same may I write about mages or rogues.
I have been played as magic Dark Elf ~3 months, it's good, with Spell Power = 7 (with arts) I may fight almost as equal to others races.
Now, I'm testing might version of DE, but again "almost equal" and "almost equal" getting difference ;P

Ofcourse rogues/shrews are perfect weapon, but it's disposable weapon, they will die in first turn.
There should be written hit-and-die attack.
Most experienced player set their troops agains DE, out of range rogues/shrews, other players put one single first level creature on way rogues/shrews, to protect range units, moreover there are loots of maps bigher then 10x10 (rogues/shrews unless)








I must agree with DarkAssault, Magic Piercing it's a joke. All we know, that HWM is based on H5, but even there Magic Piercing was worst faction "bonus".
IMO after H2 heroes go might way, (I know it was funy: buy new hero level 1 and send him with Armagedon to enemies) but seriously (I have played many different heroes tournaments) might always win again magic.

OK, back to topic Magic Piercing is nothing, Dark Elves deserve for something usufull.
DE have 2 weak points:
1. no range units (forget about bandits/poisoners both are better in mele then in range atack)
2. extremaly low units (= total HP) - already tested all combinations.

My sugestions:
1. change racial ability:
- if DE don't have "artillery", we need bonus against "artillery" I mean something better then "Archery" from Talents Wheel;
- at start DE have got +1 to morale, (Elves +3 to Initiative :/ ), maybe DE shoud have "god bless" (better minimal morale)?
- maybe if Dark Elves settled down in the subterranean world, we should have "stealth/trap" ability, i.e. something like ghost "incorporeal", but work only on counterstrike?
- worst idea (based on low hp), give us more units (especially ranged)

But against magic it is nothing.
actually the dark elven racial skill from hommv was elemental chains eith magic piercing as a secondary effect.

elemental chains did added dmg to spells and critters in the right condition.

in grp battles this will be hard to implement i guess, but it is a loss to the de faction skill which could be compensated otherwise but is not.

als the building for DE that increased pop growth as result of sacrifice is not implemented but all other ways of increasing pop is.

this is the reason de are weak on the higher lvl;s, they are shafted on the conversion on those 2 points

Have you ever try elemental chains in H5, PvP mode??

as i said, it will be hrd to implement in a group battle pvp setting, also due to low choice in spells, still it is not compensated any way
Why is dark elves not being compensated in any way for the missing elemental chain?
Why is dark elves not being fixed up for useless faction bonus?

Hello Administrators, there are problems with Dark elves and you guys wont take in consideration what the players are telling you what problems are? Please look into what we are saying and fix this. Thanks

Just look at Top Hunters list, how many DE we see 2-5 (no difference on combat level), and how much from them is on 1 place?
Heh I think dark elf is extremly usefull against elves :) He can demolish entire lines of druids with pillars with a shoot:)
Dark elf have been enough strong no need to fixed up..

just look at result in turnament with shrews.. :p

depends from both sides startup setup, most probably shrews must take 2-3 turns before reach bowmen.

Shrews it's not overpower DE, on level 8, all have second upgrade.
Tournament show only bonus gained thru "diamond" units.
lol i dont think that necro will uprade ... as demon i dont want to uprade too ... only if i have alot gold
True power of necros and demons is based on animated and gated units.

They shoot things from range, therefore they ARE ranged units !
