Okay, i've looked into many threads, tried the search engine but never really found out why Nickel is so powerful?
And how can you actually produce something?
In my Eyes, if you buy Nickel you can only sell it for 6 more Gold. So why does everybody want Nickel ?
Thanks for the answers. | | nickel is needed in quite a few important production...thats why its so powerful... | you buy resources, then sell it to a production facility. this then gives the prod facility enough resources to produce a unit of production, thus it needs a worker. thus, u can now work there, where before you couldnt. this can mean the difference between a 175 wage and a 205 wage (wages are however increased by a factor created by your labour skill, thus this mere 30 can rapidly become as much as 60 increase in pay). it could however be the difference between 0 wage (no spaces free at all in your area) and 205... that is when it is very valuable.
in general terms, nickel is only about as useful as leather, to the player. nickel will make a couple more gold profit on the sale, but the true use is to allow work to begin. however, as there are MANY places that need nickel, and production cant keep up, many places have no nickel and thus if u have 1 nickel, it is massively easy to get a job at one of these places. the shortage of nickel only serves to increase the demand, in a standard supply - demand pattern.

Some artifacts are selling for gold + ore.
It seems that steel is more powerful now. | Obviously. Since admin created a second nickel factory to answer Nickel shortage, some people started doing the same thing with Steel - which has still only one production facility. Steel is the new weak point in the chain, everyone is going for it! HURRY WHILE STOCKS LAST!! (*laugh while people rush on steel...*)

I asked this question a few weeks ago when I had cornered the Nickel market. They obviously didn't read it as you still can't sell steel & nickel in the market but can sell anything else. | *ahem*
