sure - demons will be stronger with cerberi, but compare this lvl 10 unit with shrews (lvl 8)
cerberi - shrews
numbers < (bigger stack)
att 4 < 5
dmg 4-6 < 5-7
def 2 < 3
speed 8 = 8
ini 13 < 16
tp 15 < 16
so a stack with shrews will deal alot more dmg and is harder to kill

After a few battles in level 8, I want to say that Elf really sucks in level 8.
It is almost impossible for an elf to beat knight.
It is very hard to beat Barbarian.
Others say that Wizard and Necromancer are the strongest in level 8.
So, Which race can be beaten by elf? None?
Before, I always said that every race has it's own time to be strongest. But, in my experience from level 1-8, Elf never be the strongest.
Just to mention another unfair condition, talents.
In level 8, the best talent Elf can have is +3 luck (Expert Luck).
If we use Rally talent, then we only get Rally and + 1 Morale.
Look at Knight, they can have Rally, +1 Morale and +1 LUCK !
Another complain, unicorns is the worst creature at level 8.
Please don't say if you don't like to be an elf, switch to other race.
I am in level 8, it's too late to switch to other race now.
The only pleasure for being an elf is having elite forest keeper. but they die very fast. |

I think wizards get too few genies at lvl 8 to be the strongest one. They get more at lvl 9 so maybe then they will be strongest. Well, here's what I think so far.
1. Necromancer
2. Knight
3. Wizard
Although since there is some balance certain factions have an easier time with the others. I think demons usually do well against necros, but necros pretty much beats all the other factions. Looking at the tournament fights wizards have trouble with elves on this level, but I think elves don't do well against the other factions and wizards are strong compared to the other factions. |
Have you guys looked at the russian server which has much more players than this one to see who is winning the tournaments all the time?

| ChristBABI. Barbarians are totally from Heroes 3, nothing like might in Heroes 4. And in level 3 and 4 they are really good, provided your wolves attack first and tactifully, e.g attacking forest keepers (low defense / hp and relatively high att). |

wizzard was the strongest until i know CMETPb won against Kusika in turnament, so Necro is the strongest, i think.
btw CMETPb won all his battle in level 8, that proves that Necros is the strongest (in level 8).
1. Necros
2 & 3. Elves (Unicorn have aura magic proof) & Knight
4 & 5. Barbs & Wizzards
6. Demons
7. Dark Elves

Wizard with triple miniarts kill anyone except barbarian
Knight kills dark elf and barbarian easily , vs elf and necromancer battle |

Not really. :) There are small balance on levels higher than 7.
My opinion:
1. Wizards
2. Necromancers
3. Knights
4. Demons
5. Barbarians
6. Elves
7. Dark Elves
But: 6&7 are the best factions in MG & HG
On level 9 situation is the same, but with 3rd upgrade barbarians taking 2nd place, and necromancers - 5 :) |
