Author | Is magic convenient for elfs? |
At leve 5 elfs san build mage guild. Is it useful? Cause if it is a good choice i willraise knowledge and spell power rising at combat level 4 and 5. But if it is useless i will raise attack and defence | i think it is use ful cuz u can do spells at lvl 5
druids can do spells 2 so i think it is good.... | i regret building the mage guild. the rain of arrows is sooooo much better in my opinion. | MMM contrastant opinions....someone else ? | Bless and Rapid is useful, it can make sure your archer or keeper deals solid damage at important moments, support spells can also work on allies.
Rain of arrow are good dealing out scattering damage in some group battle and hunts, however it does not work against any elven creatures. definitely learn spells so you've something to fall back on. | I've turned Elf on level 5 with plenty of Spell Power and Knowledge from my previous Dark Elf faction, so I naturally built a Mage Guild.
It's average at best.
Elves only have access to the Magic Punch, Bless and Rapid.
- Magic Punch inflicts lame damage and costs dire in mana. Avoid.
- Bless raises the min damage inflicted by units. Check the formula. Somehow useful on Bowmen, no effect at all on Sprites!
- Rapid may help on occasion, sometimes allowing Sprites to takes two turns against slow units in hunts, but require good Spell Power to have any use (otherwise the spell ends way too quickly).
All in all, I think casting a spell is less interesting than firing a Rain of Arrows. It allows more tactical choices, but still, I sank 4 characteristic points in spellcasting (Knowledge 2, Spell Power 2) to be a decent magic user. +4 Attack instead would have improved all my creatures more than casting Bless on one single stack... |
