What are they for and how does one go about acquiring some free-range skeletons?

they are won by necromancers by playing combats.
they r of no use except to make a showcase....i.e. to show that i have won xxxx number of skeletons.
to earn money they can by sold too. |
oh... that seems rather pointless... actually it sh*ts me to tears that games do stuff like that for just one race rather than hav trophies for every race! #$#%@#!@^^&)&(%$^$%^!!! :

this is nothing bad, becouse necro skeletons balance game.
skel can have only necro and only necro can sold and buy it.
you must know that not only if we win, we gain some of them, but if we lose, we lose them too. so that player who is good, they will have a lot of tham and sold it, if you are bad player or is unlucky, you will have none of them nad can buy some... |

for Amish_Joe:
Necros can recruit additional sceletons in their army - it's their faction feature. One way for a necro to get skellies is to win them in combat (it's a really slow way though) , another is to buy them on the market. Simple as that. |
