What does the range do?
I have niticed (don't know)that all archers have range 6 exept magi, who has range 100.
From master hunter bow u get 1 extra range point. what benefits does that have? | well range is for exmaple if ur range of a bowmen is 6 then if the stack that u want to atk is at that range of 6 boxes u hit it much harder u will notice that when u are shooting from far u have some kind of a broken arrow when u are near that's a regular arrow i hope i helped u bye : ))) | What does the range do?
It's the number of square where your shooters deal 100% damage.
Further than this distance, shooters deal 50% damage. The actual location of target is not important; it may be at 7 squares or on the other side of the battlefield, it's the same thing, 50% damage.
The range can easily be seen by the bow icon: it's either a straight bow with a right arrow (in range), or a bow with a broken arrow (out of range).
More on range:
- Magi have no range limit. It means they deal 100% damage at any range.
- Some units have "range penalty". They deal 25% damage instead of 50% when they are out of range.
- Some units have a greater range than the usual 6 square. Some artifacts may increase shooting range for shooters in your army.
